Rostock Max v2 -- Selling

I figured its time to de-commission my first 3D printer ever. It is an original Rostock Max v2 fitted with a HE280 Hotend & Probe. The printer features LED lights on the ceiling, the frame of the machine is black melamine with Blue highlights, EZR Extruder, cool RepRap stickers, and comes in per...

Dead board??

I recently went on a 6 day vacation and left the heat off at home. I went to calibrate before a print, so I washed my glass plate and started to brush plastics from my hotend. I was using a wire brush, and I knew to stay away from the heater cartridge wires. I was cleaning on the opposite side of th...

OctoPrint w/ Raspberry Pi Zero?

After building a new printer, I seem to not have enough funds to get big upgrades for my Rostock. I want to add Octoprint capability at the lost cost of 5 dollars (give or take a few bucks). My question is, can the Raspberry Pi Zero be used for this? Can I use Geneb's delta calibration on this setup?

I've visited the new shop recently and they're working on some really cool stuff. I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Rostock Max v3 calibrating script.

Does anyone know if SeeMeCNC is going to add the calibration wizard to the firmware at any point? I think it would be very efficient to automate the entire process.

Re: Non-print moves on Rostock v2 hybrid

It depends on the motors that are in your V2, SeeMeCNC changed motors during the RMV2 run, and the new motors run on lower current. Since you are running the new hotend, I assume you are using the latest firmware, with the lower current settings for the newer motors. I have the automation technolog...

Re: Filament Snapping EZRstruder

I just dealt with a spool that had fractures in the filament and would snap easily, but that doesn't seem to be your issue. Make sure you're storing your spools with a filament clip so the filament doesn't tangle itself, if it does your extruder will pull on it until it breaks off the spool. Also, m...

Non-print moves on Rostock v2 hybrid

I've been trying to get my retraction settings dialed in, on my Rostock Max v2 w/ HE280 Hotend, and I realized my non print moves were set to 80mm/sec. I attempted to set it between 120-200mm/s and my print quality significantly decreased. I had layer misalignment and poor surface quality. Does this...

HE280 Fan Shroud

I made this fan shroud to bring the fans closer to the hotend to keep them from hitting the delta arms. Prevents the effector platform from tipping and poor calibration results.

I've been reading around in the forum and it people said they've printed a clip to keep in from unseating. My issue is that no one has linked any files.

Re: Shift in layers/ voltage fluctuation

The answer has to do with the design of the regulation circuitry in the power supply. For some time, given that a load on 5V was expected at all times the computer was on (And still is, as both the CPU and hard-drives, as well as any USB systems will pull on it), they designed using an architecture...

Re: Shift in layers/ voltage fluctuation

If you've got an ATX power supply, some of them will regulate the overall voltage of the supply based on the load on the 5V rail. Not all supplies do this, but some do. You can put a load resistor on one of the 5V leads (going to ground, of course) and smooth out some of that power fluctuation. I d...

Shift in layers/ voltage fluctuation

I was recently printing pulleys for my robotics team and noticed that I'm getting shifts in my layers by about 1.35mm via x axis. I made sure my belts were tight and that my glass plate wasn't shifting. I measured my voltage, on my ATX power supply, at different times when the printer was on and the...

Bed Leveling Issues with HE280 Hotend

Using the Gcode auto level is great but when I go to print its not level. using the lcd controller I moved the z to 0 and moved the nozzle across the bed and it seems to be a horizontal radius issue. Is there a way to fix this?

My Tricky Thermistor and Bad Bed leveling

I have just recently upgraded my v2 to the HE280 hotend and every now and then the temp readout will say 190c when it's cool. Do I have my polarity messed up with my Thermistor? Also, when I run the calibration script it runs fine and when it says it save and I go to print something it's not level. ...

There isn't an exact way to get more air flow on the heat sync but I lowered my temperature and it seems to work okay, but it wont print level now. Should have I specified it as a v3 machine or v2 machine in the firmware?

Funky Filament

I recently just upgraded my hot end and extruder to the HE280 HOTEND and the EZR Struder but I'm having troubles printing. It will start out beautifully with a wonderful first layer but after some time it starts laying drops instead of a steady flow. I tried pushing the filament through manually and...

Re: PID Auto tune Fail

One of the resistors may have gone bad. Check the resistance. I checked the Ohms of the resistors with my dad and while checking it I noticed that both resistors were connected by a crimp connector and didn't know if I should cut it off to measure them separate from each other.
