Re: V2 to V3 conversion

Nice progress so far. Subscribed to follow closely as I am considering the same conversion.

Any chance you can post the model of the Power supply you purchased?

Re: new he280 hotend issues

I will give the min temp change a try. Although my other printer in the same room reads about 15C-20C when the hot end is not heated. By default anything below 18 will shut down due to potential print quality issues. You will need to either heat the room or adjust your configuration.ini file to allo...

Re: new he280 hotend issues

For mine, the temp on the thermistor reads somewhere between 5C & 8C before switching to DEF. When the screen first changes from the startup screen to the status screen, for just a few seconds temperature should be reported for both thermistors before changing to def. One is likely correct and m...

Re: new he280 hotend issues

I have the same issue. Everthing is wired according to the documentation and when I turn the printer on the temperature indicators flip to DEF. I am in communication with support but have not determined the issue quite yet.

Re: HE280 Hot End and Probe board on RMAX v2

So, I got my HE280 hot end set today and was mulling over the wiring. I was looking over my wiring and I think I already have all the necessary wires in my stock V2. However, I just need a little clarification of a few points if possible. The V2 has 8 wires running to the hot end, 2 for the hot end ...

Love the write up. I plan on using both the accelerator and HE280, but it gives me some ideas. Thanks!

Re: HE280 Hot End and Probe board on RMAX v2

Any word on wiring? I have the new hot end on order and need to plan out installation. while i have the wire whip coming too, I think that is too short for my machine...unless I attempt to relocate the rambo to the top.

yes, it is from the Eris.
I hear it will be standard on the RMAX v3 kits to be available in a few months.
And the hot end + probe board as a retrofit kit for older machines.

For Sale: Rostock Max V2 w/ E3D Hotend

I am selling my Rostock Max V2. I have upgraded it to an E3D v6 hotend and a Trick Laser Aluminium Heat spreader. Stock hot end is included. It has almost 14 days worth of printing on it and is in great condition. While I have calibrated the printer it could use some further fine-tuning. [img]http:/...

Re: Dave's First 3-D Printer Build

Well, my frustrations are back. I tried dialing in the calibrations 6 ways to Sunday and am still having issues. One method I used to calibrate worked quite nicely; however, since it had me change the steps per mm my nozzle would grind across the prints. Then I reset and tried the recommended method...

Re: Nozzle Drags on Print post Calibration

Ah, okay. I'll change it back then.

But if it causes issues like that, why is it a recommended setting change during calibration using OpenDact? Or am I missing something?

Nozzle Drags on Print post Calibration

Okay, I did some digging and have yet to find my particular issue in-depth, so here goes. I recently used OpenDact to calibrate my Max V2 and now as I print 2 peculiar things happen. First, there are moments when the nozzle sounds as if it is grinding or dragging on the print while moving a long dis...

Re: Effector Platform - Fan Duct Combo

Hey Dave, how are you getting along with this set up. It's the exact one I was planning. Already have the 713Maker mount in hand. Hey! So far so good. Once I had all 3 fans installed, I did notice a bit more air flowing around the hot end, but the E3D does a nice job of maintaining the target tempe...

Re: Dave's First 3-D Printer Build

Okay, so a lot has happened in the past weeks. The biggest being that I upgraded my hot end to the E3Dv6. So far I like how the prints have been coming out. However, after upgrading to MC 1.5, things weren't working so well. I began to notice how prints were not laying down evenly from 1 side of the...

Re: Effector Platform - Fan Duct Combo

Hey Dave, that looks like the exact same about of clearance that mine has. Unless there's something goofy that goes on with the ball-socket arms that I'm not aware of because I don't have them, I don't see any issues with that amount of clearance. Looks normal to me. Were you concerned about some o...

Re: Effector Platform - Fan Duct Combo

I just printed the Effector bLITzJoN created and am in the process of using it to mount my E3D-v6 onto my Max using the 713maker.com mount. My question is does the E3D sit okay on the Effector or is it too low to where the fan ducts will compromise the performance of the hot end? [img]http://i592.ph...

Re: Dave's First 3-D Printer Build

Here are some pictures of my latest prints. I used S3D to create the gCode and printed off the SD Card. These actually turned out quite nicely to be honest.
