Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Thank you for pointing that out dc42. I have a map here of how I set it up, a way that was recommended by the berdAir folks. I did it exactly as they have laid out, I hope it's correct! eSwitch&Duet.pdf Xenocrates, that would just fine by me! I can easily paint the 1/4" birch white and no o...

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
I finally got my printer up and running, and its doing its first print now. I've got the duet wifi going, and it made my printer 10x quieter. The upgraded power supply isn't too loud now that seeme sent me a replacement. Every now and again its internal fan comes on and cools it down but it's not ov...

Re: V2 (mid 2016) to V3.2 (current) upgrade?
Hey I remember you too windy, I've been kicking around here for a while. Welcome back. I have the V2 as well, and recently upgraded it to the Duet and added the upgraded power supply from Seeme. I decided not to upgrade the frame or move anything to the top since I didn't see big benefits to doing t...

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Hey Xenocrates, those are all good ideas. I've tried so far getting ahold of brian at TL since he was selling them for $20 on his store, no luck. I asked Seeme if they could cut one, they said they were a bit too busy atm to help with that. And I contacted serralaser and they want $165 to cut one ou...

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Is trick laser shutting down? I noticed they have very few products in their store now. I emailed brian asking if he could make me an FSR Plate for Onyx Heated Bed since they are out of stock, but he never returned my email. I hope everything is ok over there!

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Some things I've learned: The noctua fan is very very quiet, but also it doesn't push as much air, so that's a trade off. One that I'm willing to make though. I also learned that noctua uses an inline resistor on their red wires to reduce fan speed and therefore additional noise. It's a handy trick ...

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
The PSU I have installed is the one sold by SeemeCNC, the Keling 12v 29amp. Upon further investigation, the noisy fan is actually the one that's built into the PSU. I'm not sure what can be done about that. Would be it be strange to take it apart and put a quieter fan in it? Also of note, the board ...

Re: Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Thanks for the input guys. I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks for a quieter fan. Right now its so loud I hardly want to turn the machine on. A much louder fan than what was attached to the RAMBo board. Do you think instead of wiring the board cooling fan directly to the PSU, if I attached it to on...

Duet WiFi - Rostock V2
Me and my Rostock V2 have been on many adventures together. I swapped to a nimble and couldn't get the retractions working properly with the RAMBo so I took a break and wandered into SLA land. It's been fun having no layer lines, and less fun cleaning expensive resins, but now it's time to get back ...

Re: Quick guide to setting up the ZestyTech nimble on the Rostock MAX V2 or V3
Hey Tim, I'm looking through all of my settings, and they are very similar to yours. I realize though that I have my retraction turned off. I've been printing at low temperatures. When I turn my retraction on, sure enough I get the stalling until about 5mm/sec. That is not ideal, but it works mostly...

Make sure you are setting the eeprom jerk of the settings way at the bottom not at the top. Same for acceleration.

Re: Quick guide to setting up the ZestyTech nimble on the Rostock MAX V2 or V3
Try bumping up your motor current to 100 to see if that takes care of the stalling. Are you running the RAMBo? or do you have a duet or other board? The zesty folks recommended dropping the micro steps to 4 on 8 bit boards so you can give that a try too.

Quick guide to setting up the ZestyTech nimble on the Rostock MAX V2 or V3
Quick nimble setup guide for those with a Rostock Max V2 or V3 with the RAMBo board. I just went through this, and successfully got it up and running. A few folks helped me do it, so I want to pay it forward. Here is a quick guide. Here is the official documentation http://zestytechnology.readthedoc...

Yep, I made a successful print. I am working on a post that will help others with a rostock max get it up and running.

Re: Zesty Nimble on 713Maker Mount NinjaFlex First Print
Since you got your nimble up and running, maybe you can help me. I'm using the rambo that comes stock on the romax. What setting did you end up using for your micro stepping? And how did you adjust the vref setting? Thanks!

Re: Zesty Nimble extruder technical thread
Good writeup. I didn't find a rostock max in the adapters list though. It looks like they have a V3 "hat" adapter on thingiverse but nothing for the V2. Has anyone made one? Also, there are several cable length options when you go to purchase. I'm assuming 95mm would be appropriate but it'...

Re: BerdAir comeing soon From Yellow Jacket Concepts
I have done this cooling upgrade. I ended up stuffing my pump in the bottom of the Rmax where there is a spare bay. Just popped the side off and in it went. There was already a hole for me to route the tube through. It reduces the noise quite a bit and seems to be getting enough airflow.
