Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone here has a working config for the dev (1.0.0) version of Repetier firmware for a Rostock Max v2?
There's a couple of cool features I want to try out and I'd really appreciate it if someone could share their configuration.h
Thank

Right. Wow. PSU are expensive! Around 200 euros in Europe.

Re: PSU Upgrade?
If you think you might like to go for polycarbonate or other more-exotic filaments at some point, a good SSR would be the way to go. OK... So how does one tell a good SSR from a bad one? I desperately need to get a 24v power supply - swapped out my glass bed for an aluminium one and can get nowhere...

Re: Ultem 1000 Polyetherimide
Awesome, thanks for the advice you both, will definitely start with the glass plate. Attached potato cam pic.... Looks uneven/dirty in the pic, feels incredibly smooth to the touch but you can feel that it is coated. Got up to check point 9 tonight, have the top on and the end stop switches wired......

Re: Ultem 1000 Polyetherimide
Ha! It arrived yesterday, along with my Rostock max v2 kit.... One long night (oh my God so much tape), managed to get a little past checkpoint 1. Didn't get a chance to unwrap the aluminium/pei board yet, honestly from your first comment I thought you were being sarcastic.... Will post photos when ...

OK, so the plate is finished and in the post.
Hopefully it will arrive today and I'll be able to post a couple of photos of it.
I just wish the German customs would get a move on Been stuck there for an age.

Search the forume for ikea and you will find my thread. Honestly no one can remember the nAmes of all tHt ikea stuff. Shnörkstrom or billy or whatever OK - actually there are a bunch of different ikea furniture pieces mentioned in that thread - one of which is this: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalo...

Re: Simple enclosure
As for the electronics, i have not had a problem yet. Mine goes up to 36 degs in a dedicated ikea cupboard. But i have not gone to 50 degs. Once i install the heatpump it will heatup the enclosure and cool the electronics. Any chance you could share what ikea cupboard? Most of the ones I can see on...

Re: Ultem 1000 Polyetherimide
This is true. Do you think that will be an issue? My hope was that the aluminium plate would offer good strength and heat distribution.teoman wrote:Anodized? Then it is a few microns thick.
My pei is 2mm or so. I got it from amazon. From the link posted in the PEI thread.

Re: Ultem 1000 Polyetherimide
is that 65euros including the PEI? My pei just cracked, and i need a replacement some time soon. Yes, including a coating of PEI. Exactly how thick I wait to see. He says it is "exoliert" with PEI, not sure exactly how that translates from German. Edit: Exoliert is German for anodized....

Do you have any sample images?? Some of us in EU may be interested and you could even get a group discount. If tje price is not absurd, i eould be interested in one. Ok - here is the pic from ebay. The guy is basically a one-man show (he is doing it for me over the weekend) so I'm not sure there'd ...

Re: Ultem 1000 Polyetherimide
OK, replying to myself, but I managed to find a very helpful guy here in Germany that produces custom PEI covered aluminium build plates.
Will report back when I have a chance to use it (still need to build my max v2....)
PM me and I can put you in touch if anyone is keen to buy from this guy

Anything on Aliexpress is 100% a clone. http://e3d-online.com/Genuine-Check" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It will not be supported by E3D, and it most likely will be an $11 box full of headaches. Thanks dude that's exactly what I hoped to hear - btw the link you provided ...

OK. I am pretty sure I don't want to change out for an e3d v6 straight away....... but.... does anyone have direct experience with these e3d v6 hotends from Aliexpress? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/E3D-V6-3D-Printer-J-head-Hotend-with-Single-Cooling-Fan-for-1-75mm-3-0mm/32336514653.html" oncl...

Re: e3d v6
That video shows the exact mod I was talking about. It's just a nicer way of heating things. I came to dislike the way the resistors were setup in the stock kit. I would advise, though, that if you are using a 40w heater cartridge, to lower the power output with these two values: #define EXT1_PID_I...

Re: e3d v6
The stock hotend is great. Definitely do the heater cartridge mod, if you feel like you can manage it. If you put a 40w cartridge in, set your max PWM settings (two places) to about half (128 or less is what I run). Sorry to ask a dumb question but what is the heater cartridge mod? I've read up a f...

Cool. Was that 40 minutes with the quick connect? Any idea where to source the parts for it?jram wrote:I would start with the stock hot end, it prints nicely. If you install it with a quick connect it will make the switch to the e3d v6 a little quicker. Mine took about 40 minutes to change out

e3d v6
Hi everyone Quick question - I'm about to begin the build of my rostock max v2 (it's in the post still). If you had the option, knowing what you know now, would you start with the stock hot end or swap it out for an e3d v6 right from the get go? I was leaning towards learning how to print with the s...

Re: Hello from Wolfsburg, Germany
Without knowing the specific model and machine configuration, 4 hours could be anything from ridiculously long to hopelessly ambitious. If you don't have fine details in the model, a large nozzle allows greater extrusion width and quicker printing. Without fine details or a need for smooth surface ...

Re: Hello from Wolfsburg, Germany
Thanks for the welcomes :) I now have hopefully all the bits and pieces required to build it (sadly had to purchase a set of imperial hex wrenches......imperial! Seriously....get with the now!). Anyways all of it just sitting here with me on the net hitting F5 on the usps status page every 5 seconds...

Hello from Wolfsburg, Germany
Hi everyone So I'm excitedly waiting for my Rostock Max v2 package to be delivered - still in the US according to USPS though :( For the past year and a half I've been mad into building and then subsequently crashing quadcopters. To be fair there has been a small amount of flying inbetween the build...
