Re: E3D v6 and the thermistor - heads up.
I'm pretty sure I've never updated the firmware (I think that would be .91) but I will confirm later when I get home.

E3D v6 and the thermistor - heads up.
I recently updated to the E3D v6 hotend. It was working quite well and I was getting great prints with it. A couple weeks ago I started a long print (8 plus hours). When I kick off long prints I like to start them in the evenings so I can check them and once they are running I go to bed. I went down...

Re: Copy MatterControl custom settings to a new computer
I figured it out. Pretty easy.
Install MatterControl on new computer.
Copy
%appdata%\Local\MatterControl
%appdata%\Roaming\Slic3r
folders to the new computer.
Done.

Copy MatterControl custom settings to a new computer
Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
I can't locate the place where custom settings are stored.

Re: 1/15 scale Clock Tower from Back to the Future
While it is painted, the texture of the bricks is there. bricks-sample.jpg I wanted to initially do the bricks in sections like this, but it used too much material. IMAG2850.jpg So I split the thickness in half and broke the back wall up into sections. The suggestion about "mouse ears" to ...

1/15 scale Clock Tower from Back to the Future
With the exception of the roof shingles, the directionals on the lightning rod, and the clock face itself, the pieces to make this were printed entirely on the Rostock MAX V2. It is on display right now at Comic Con in San Diego.

Another from the Chicago 'burbs.
Scott, here. The Max V2 is my first printer, got it back in March. It worked first time out (good directions!) and I've been printing ever since. The learning curve on this is pretty steep, lots to learn - grateful for this forum. Working a project right now that will be on display at Comic Con next...

Hi Ken, I am Scott - in Schaumburg.
I got my Max V2 back in March. Seeing your post reminded me I never did an "intro" thread of my own. I guess I should.

Re: Faro Focus 3D Scanner
Do you mind elaborating on how this works? I have my Faro scan project in CloudCompare right now and I see the Poisson Surface Reconstruction plugin, but it is grayed out. I don't know what you mean by building normals. Normals (I think) means orienting the points in a unified direction. With both ...

Re: Assembly manual discussion thread!
I wanted to chime in to say that I recently completed my MAX V2 build, with zero defects. ;) My only quibble is that the screen capped MatterControl images are different than the current version of MatterControl. Apparently the GUI changed a little? No biggie really because I was able to figure it o...
