Re: Not connecting to round circles
I see a few places that make it look like you might be having difficulty restarting extrusion after retractions. Which hot end are you using and what are your retraction settings?

1) Not aware of anything but I'm not familiar with your specific PSU. I'm running all Meanwells now. Putting the side covers back on would probably help. 2) See https://reprap.org/wiki/G-code (the g-code reference) for M106 and add the command you come up with for your preferred behavior to your con...

1) He's talking about the accuracy of the first-layer height, not its absolute value in mm. That comment was about the quality of your leveling, not your slicer settings. 2) In case it becomes relevant in the future, typical layer heights are on the order of 0.2 and 0.3 mm. Whole-number mm layer hei...

I fiddled with polycarbonate a little. Even at a 150 bed in an enclosure around 35 it would only stick for a layer or two before completely peeling up. It may just not like Kapton, but that was my experience.

Re: Software/hardware parameter limititing print size
That doesn't look like the behavior I'd expect from hitting the firmware limit on printable radius. Does the STL get thinner there, potentially thinner than the nozzle? Are you sure the STL is manifold?

As long as they're perfectly swapped the only impact should be that you'll need to mirror any asymmetrical parts for them to turn out right.

Re: Hot End Chattering/Bouncing Against Bed, Not Much Extruded (Bad config.g?)
If you can get the first-part cost reasonably low, an accessible technology with little economy of scale to be realized has its own benefits, as there's basically no penalty for making one-off or incremental changes, so each machine can be as unique as desired. The choices of the names Darwin and Me...

Re: Big default "baby steps" - Duet
Add M290 with your desired step in mm as an S parameter. http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code I'll let someone who's with autolevel handle (1). Some PID tune their beds. I've been happy with my results without even using PID. An SSR gets the high bed power currents off the circuit board and gives the optio...

Re: Trouble installing an E3D v6
Did you change the thermistor settings in the firmware for the nonstandard hot end and retune PID? You may need to change the max PID drive upwards since the standard E3D heater is only 25W. Is the fan turning (and turning the correct way)? Is it a genuine E3D? There are a lot of clones out there an...

You can't visually inspect a fuse. They can lose continuity with a break that isn't visible to the naked (or even aided) eye.

If you're talking about Slic3r, the fan speed settings work with the other cooling settings. Not sure how many of these make it into the MatterControl interface, but they're all there if you download from slic3r.org: The full fan logic for parts of the print that are neither first X layers nor bridg...

Re: Poor layer quality on multi-part prints
It's the axis steps per mm that shouldn't change from 80. Extruder steps per mm should be determined experimentally during calibration because there are many variables. 80 should not be correct for the extruder, which should be calibrated experimentally. You probably have problems elsewhere that hap...

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate
Dragging lightly across the build plate sounds perfect if you're at Z=0. Other than the probing, a real print will never command the nozzle closer to the bed than the first-layer height.

More likely than X and Y both skipping the same amount is a problem with Z. Which way it shifts will also depend on whether the cheapskate is trying to go up or down when it doesn't.

G-code flavor is correct if you have the stock electronics.
How are you loading the gcode to the machine? I found the upload function in Repetier Host had a couple of checkboxes for including start and end gcode that I have to clear to keep it from doing goofy things.

Re: Replacing the hotend on my Max V2
My recollection is it's .5mm but I don't have the manual in front of me. If the filament has been sitting out all this time it might have absorbed too much moisture. There are various ways to try to dehydrate it. I've not had mine in a controlled environment and the opaque ABS is fine but the transp...

Re: RostockV2 hot end won't heat past 145C
It's not a wrong resistor issue. These same resistors were working correctly before. Something has gone wrong.
The hot end in question is the stock v2 hot end. I don't see that you've ever said what machine you have but it would probably be a downgrade.

Re: RostockV2 hot end won't heat past 145C
It does sound like the increased resistance just isn't letting enough current through to overcome the heat loss to the atmosphere and pass 145. I'd check resistance at the resistor leads to rule out a problem with the wiring going down to the board. Check the leads of one resistor and the leads of t...

Re: setting up Slic3r for dual extrusion with shared hotend
Your question at the RepRap forums is a lot more specific and thus possible to answer. I am still using 1.2.9, but I would expect the dev version hasn't changed in this respect. If you hover over the Start GCode field, one of the notes is (paraphrased) that including M104 commands in your start gcod...

Re: Is my Rostock Max2 possessed by demons?
Everything that happens after it "suddenly freaks out" is because the effector is no longer where the electronics think it is. Deltas do goofy things when they don't know where in the build volume they are. What slicer are you using? I have read something about Simplify3D making excessive ...
