Some are saying that the original patent claims the XYZ gantry is located outside the chamber, hence internal wouldn't be infringement. Who wants to test that theory? 1. Gotcha, I'm using them on the trick trucks. Just wasn't sure if they would work with the rostock carriages.

Wait. not 0,0,0. It should be half of your bed diameter. so if you set the diameter to 300; it should be 150,150,0

I'm not in-front of the software, but you should have an Orgin settings option in the FFF (might be under gcode) . Make sure that's 0,0,0.

Re: K40 Laser Amazon deal (through Vipon)
thanks, I was able to snag one of the $225 ones today. What do you think of it so far? Haven't done much but did a few of the test designs in laser works. I can see the benefit of adding a amp meter and potentiometer. The digital button thingy is a bit wonky. The software has a learning curve but n...

Looks like the $225 one might be sold out. "The seller is no longer offering vouchers." whatever that means.

K40 Laser Amazon deal (through Vipon)
I try not to post crap like this, but it seems like a decent deal for anyone wanting to tinker. Signup for https://www.vipon.com/ Search: Orion get the code and paste it in the "Add a gift card or promotion code" section of the Amazon Cart. Both are Prime eligible $209 for the analog https...

$249 for the upgrade. +shipping to Canada https://www.mosaicmanufacturing.com/pro ... to-palette
Not sure if it's worth it. I just wish they would sell the parts and the upgrade/calibration procedures.

Re: The Palette (Mosaic Manufacturing)
I would assume any slicer that handles dual+ extrusion would work. But I've only used S3D. The quick and dirty. Slice different parts of the model using a different extruder for each color. (up to 4 colors). This is the same process for any multi color print, for the most part. Pass that gcode into ...

Have you looked at the gcode by chance? Just to make sure, it's not something goofy in Matter Control.
Can you pre-heat to expected temps via the LCD?
also, when the printer is cold. Does the heated bed and hotend roughly display the same temps?

Re: E3D V6 jamming
I never had luck with large amounts of retract on the E3D-v6. Even their own troubleshooting guide states "Retractions of 5mm or more are troublesome as they pull hot filament up into the cold areas of the hotend where they can freeze, adhere and jam." One thing you can try is to chamfer t...

I'm testing these with the trick trucks/effector set. https://www.ultibots.com/magball-ends-set-of-12/ The studs might be a bit to long, I cut off about 1/8" off each one. ( I snapped two studs trying to install them, just be careful) These are the Arms I'm using http://www.tricklaser.com/Carbo...

Prometheus System is another Y-adapter solution. https://www.distechautomation.com/products/prometheus-system although, the Seemecnc Y kit is much cheaper. In S3D on your FFF/Scripts/"Tool Change G-Code" you can add Dwell time. That will help with the heating up during changes. http://repra...

Re: blobs on direction change
With my .4mm nozzle, I have coast set to 1mm. ( see attached pic) Don't run with Auto extrusion width, it's garbage. Calibrate with a thin-wall hallow cube and measure the wall thickness to adjust the extrusion multiplier. Your .05 coast on a .8mm nozzle wont do much of anything. Also, again -.02 Ex...

It looks really nice and I was planning on getting one, but it needs one more pair for me. We need all the connections it currently has plus one for a IR probe. Mentioned above in the text (There is also a 2nd connection that breaks out the 3 wires from the Harness if not using the accelerometer bo...
