Re: Molten Terminal Duet
IMO you are asking for trouble with that much exposed wire on the VIN terminals. You should not see any exposed wire from the terminals. Best method is crimping ferrules and tightening the connectors properly. I use the same type of connectors (and ferrules) on mobile equipment and have never had th...

What made you want to try out something different when you already had PEI for a while?
Do you find PEI lacking in some aspects?

Re: Can't get level first layer/Convex bed
Adjusting the horizontal radius doesn't help. Probably because its not symmetric.
Yea, I'm suspecting that the only solution is to get a new bed. I can't force it to stay flat no matter what I do.

Re: G92 E0 causes a lot of extrusion.
IMO you should never home just one tower on a delta. If I tried that on my machine with the print head near the bed, I would expect that the X carriage would move up while the other 2 stay where they are, causing the print head to eventually hit a tower and cause the belt to start skipping. A better...

Why are you homing just the X axis on a delta machine?
I would remove the X0 from the G28 command.

Re: Can't get level first layer/Convex bed
I've tried that multiple times, it doesn't help. I actually can't get the bed to sit flat while it is heating up. The force needed to flatten the bed starts to bend the melamine underneath.
It also doesn't help that the bed is more convex when it is heated up than when it is room temperature.

Your heating time seems normal to me. I put a towel my heated bed and leave it for 10-15 minutes to get to 110°C, then another few minutes with the towel off for the temp to stabilise without the towel.

Re: v3 Maximum PSP Voltage Setting
My inline multimeter is rated for 10A or 20A for 30 seconds max every 15 minutes... too bad I blew the fuse measuring a motor that exceeded its nameplate amperage (50amp instead of 15). Since I got a clamp on AC/DC meter I use that for measuring current. I just measured mine. From room temperature, ...

Re: Can't get level first layer/Convex bed
So it's actually worse when the heated bed is on. This picture is with the straight edge balanced and fully touching the bed in the center, and you can see the gap at either end. KIMG0055.jpg The bed will actually flex with power applied to it... I knew it did it a little bit, but not so much. The c...

Re: Can't get level first layer/Convex bed
Here is a picture of the Onyx if I hold a straight edge on it. About 1mm gap on the other side. This is a little bit less with the glass clamped down to the bed, but its harder to take a picture of. KIMG0051.jpg I've tried raising the Onyx so that it is only supported by 3 of the 6 screws, and its r...

Can't get level first layer/Convex bed
I've been having problems printing items that are bigger than 100mm, because I can't get the first layer to go down evenly. Its too thin in some spots, and too thick in other spots. I believe its mostly due to that the bed is convex, even with the glass clamped to it. I loosened 3 of the six holding...

Re: PSU shuts down
Have you tried changing this value? #define HEATER_PWM_SPEED
That changes the PWM frequency.
Are you using dead-time for both the bed and extruder? I prefer dead time control for both.
And does your PSU shut off if you are only heating the bed?

Re: Play in hot end and calibration
I played around with my physical endstop screws to get them all within 0.02mm of each other, and ran the calculator again. So after numerous runs through the Escher 3D calculator, the best it can give me is a calculated 0.11mm deviation. Using 6 factors and 10 points. These are the results: Endstop ...

Play in hot end and calibration
I'm having trouble getting calibration results, the best I have been able to achieve is a 0.11 variance using the calculator at Escher3d.com. Some of my probe points are +0.15 to -0.16mm, while others are acceptable (~0.03 mm.) I think part of the issue is the amount of play in the older V2 arms I h...

Re: stopping and resuming a print to load components
In your Gcode at the layer you need to add a component, add a coordinate move somewhere out of the way, along with a retract, and then add a pause command for X amount of seconds. After the pause go back to the coordinates you were at, and undo the retract. This should help you out: http://reprap.or...
