Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

I'm getting ready to convert my machine to a duet, and am wondering if somebody can help explain what I am seeing. I flashed both my duet board and Paneldue to v1.14 successfully, but when I connect my PanelDue to my Duet and power both boards via USB connected to the Duet, The PanelDue screen blin...

Re: Warning - No EEProm Mapping

Had that issue a few times recently too. After restarting the machine it would come back but randomly reappear. Not sure if its related but sometimes when I turn on the RAMBO I get a blank LCD screen, are these bugs in the latest firmware?

Re: What PSU can fit in the base of Rostock Max V2?

Thanks for sharing! :D Wow I had no idea such large PSU could fit in the base. For some reason I though doubling the power output would require roughly double the space. I am comfortable enough with electrical systems to set up a dedicated PSU than PC one. For 700w+ systems, how is the noise while p...

What PSU can fit in the base of Rostock Max V2?

My stock power supply has been slowly dying on me, and I figure it is time to retire it for an upgrade. I have been reading online about various options between 12v and 24v and a wide range of available options. There is a wealth of information out there, but I am having trouble distinguishing which...

In order to run the Bondtech QR, does the power supply need to be upgraded to 24V or can the stock on still be used?

Thank you Polygonhell. I need to write it down, so I can process the new data lol First I need to make the arms exactly the same length, so they can form a perfect parallelogram. I don't want to know what could happen if there is a small variation. If they end up beign equal to the stock ones... gr...

Re: Help! Printer randomly loses power during print

Thanks for the input! You guys were right about it being the PSU. I did a little more investigating and found out my problem. First I tried printing different files, to make sure it wasnt a software issue, really didnt expect a different result and the printer shut down in the first 30s of the print...

Help! Printer randomly loses power during print

My printer started doing something funny recently. I have had little to no issues with power since I built it last November, but recently it started doing something funny. The printer will randomly lose all power - Rambo LCD, PSU fan, everything I think this means its a PSU issue. The problem usuall...

Re: PEI Print Surface How To - recap

Great method for repairing scratches! Just curious, is there a reason you chose to wait for the CA to cure rather than using a catalyst? "CA Kicker" will dry the adhesive instantly, although in my experience you can get rock/crystal like formation as it cures so fast. Alternatively though,...

Re: EZ Struder issues

When it comes to replacing the PTFE tube, how sensitive is the tube to length? I thought I remember reading you need to keep the exact length of the tube. I couldn't figure out why. My tube is getting chewed up at the end entering the hot hot end, and I'm debating whether to snip off some length and...

Thanks for the input, perhaps I got unlucky and got 2 plates from the bad batch? Good news is both plates have chips on one side, I think I will try applying PEI on the otherside and see if it will last me longer.

Initial Configuration and Setup of Repetier Host?

I have been using Matter Control for several months now and getting comfortable with navigating it. I was interested in trying Repetier Host, but am a little confused with getting it initially setup. Are there any good guides to follow, aside from the tutorials on the repetier site, on how to setup?...

Setting PID on Hotend Properly

I am having some issues with getting my hot end to achieve temperature once I put on the PEEK fan. When set to 228 degrees, it will climb to around 221-224, and struggle to go up to 228 if at all. If I increase the temp up to 230 or 232, it reaches higher temps. I think the PID tune values are off s...
