Re: Unsolved Mystery. Weird Z0 behavior around build perimet
I haven't read this entire thread, but it sounds familiar. I had similar issues with a home built rostock running marlin about a year ago. I seem to recall my solution lied in tweaking the physical endstops in connection with the smooth_rod_offset variable. I was able to flatten the bed within reaso...

Re: New Rostock Max V2 in Vancouver, Canada
Yeah I picked up some kapton at Lee's today, as well as a cheap molex style crimping tool and some other goodies. It says "kapton" on the tape so I'm guessing/hoping it's legit.

Re: New Rostock Max V2 in Vancouver, Canada
Yeah there are so many variables to tweak, but finding the right balance (for the situation) is soooo rewarding. I can't wait. Did you find anywhere local to source that kapton tape or did you order from online? I've already got so many shipments coming in I'm reluctant to get more in... I'll lose t...

Re: Astrosyn Dampers!
That triangle definitely could play into it. Do you have any name at all? Or any ideas for one? Are you going to be focused on only the dampers, or other delta-bot related parts? I'm not really the best at logo design but I'm bored until my kit arrives and that sounds like something to fill the time...

Re: Astrosyn Dampers!
Sounds good. I could try a few iterations in Illustrator on a logo for you too, if you want. (I'm bored these days) What do you want it to be/say/represent?

Re: New Rostock Max V2 in Vancouver, Canada
Good to hear the V2 is working out for you. I'm getting my "workshop" (condo-sized) all set up while I wait for the printer to arrive. I'm very excited. It's possible we've run into each other, but more likely you've met my brother Caleb. He has attended several 3d604 meetups in the past. ...

Re: Astrosyn Dampers!
I was going to PM you and ask you if you had any but I had to wait for my forum account to get activated, and I was impatient so I ordered them from the other place. Do you have a website or anything set up? Or an email address I can direct people to in the future?

Re: New Rostock Max V2 in Vancouver, Canada
Oh hey, neighbour. I just ordered a V2. How are you liking yours so far? Are those three 120mm fans in the base? How are you powering them?

Re: Hi, I'm not actually a bot, but I just ordered one...
Nice platform design BONE, I like that it incorporates the stock fan shroud, etc. I agree on all points about the RTV and wiring, but I'll hold off because I might end up with a good old j-head, since I plan on printing a lot of PLA. Teoman, a GOOD kit makes life easier. Not all kits are created equ...

Re: Hi, I'm not actually a bot, but I just ordered one...
Well they were based off the original Rostock design. linear bearings on rods, wooden frame, RAMPS 1.4. Pretty similar overall to the MAX, but still way far away from the quality of the max kit. Here is one of the early iterations of one of the rostocks I was working with: [youtube]http://www.youtub...

Re: Astrosyn Dampers!
I hope not to step on Astroboy's toes, but if he doesn't have any stock left, these people ( http://www.tridprinting.com/Electronics/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) likely do. They shipped me 5 just today.

A delta bot, that is. I'm super excited to get my max v2 kit. I've got some experience with home built rostocks in the past, so I'm sure I'll be happy with this kit. I also ordered some of those fancy Astrosyn dampers to make this thing quiet. I was contemplating getting an E3d v6 as well, but I wan...
