Re: New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!

I'd just buy 2 Max's :) There are tons of upgrades and mods that you can do, but the stock machine is really quite capable out of the box (once assembled, of course). With the exception of the motors dampers (which are much easier to install during assembly), I'd keep the money and learn the machin...

Re: Printable Studios Rostock MAX V2 Build

Dampers are one of the best mods you can do.... The power supply that comes in the kit is fine, the newer kits have much better breathing holes now... I did a 10 hour print yesterday and it was all good. I did the Heater Cartridge and screw in thermistor for the hot end and they are nice mod as well...

Hahah no worries! You should be proud of it because you made it work! All submissions are welcomed. My space is VERY cramped too. Actually I just measured, It's essentially 4ft x 11 ft.... Hah! And it houses a lot. Here is a sneak peak of the setup so far: IMG_1145.JPG Mine looked just like that :)

*** MODs to Rostock Max V2 kit Painted the edges orange, not really necessary and it is kind of rough! Named the thing The Bandit, something to do with me being one armed! Fitted the dampeners to the three steppers in the base, really makes a huge difference to the noise. Changed the Rambo fan for a...

Re: Aurora's Rostock Max v2 build

My test print will be the treefrog.... The da vinci prints them but not very well.

One hour is not too bad then, I don't like the slicer that it uses so mine is imported to repetier as g-code after I slice in kisslicer.

Re: Aurora's Rostock Max v2 build

I'm just printing one now as well.

I am using kisslicer (reg) and it is building some support structure?

Be interesting to see how it goes, it is definitely a lot quieter than the da vinci and it looks real nice :)

How long did it take to print, this is going take about and hour?
