Re: Loosing all settings
I will give that a try. Although seems odd that the printer has been running for over a year with out this issue till now. I'll report back.

Loosing all settings
Hey Guys, Been a while since I have been in the forums. I'm having a strange issue. Printer has been running pretty good but last month I went to print something and discovered all setting were gone. Print time and filament used was zeroed, Z height and all tower adjustments were lost, everything. I...

Re: Homing after print job
My printer is doing something similar. After it finishes a print it will go to the home position then it drives to the max position between the Y and X tower. I haven't looked into it and I am just homing it to re-position it. I am running Repetier-Host but have plans to move to Matter Control and w...

Re: Need specs on the F3 fuse
You can also find them on Ebay. If you search for "NANO2 451 fuse" you will find the style, then just select the amp you need. Make sure you get 451 model number, they are fast acting. I believe the 452's are slow acting fuse (don't want those).

Re: power supply dead in 1 week
I had seen people with power supply issues while doing research before I built my machine, so I decided to swap it out during the build instead of waiting for it to fail later. I used this one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RJZQSW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Its not modu...

Re: Ceramic Heater Cartridge VS resistors
I went with the heater cartridge from the initial build and haven't run the resistors. I've been happy with it and will continue to use them if the need arises to replace it. I also used the screw in thermistor when I built the machine.

Thanks for the setting. Seeing the part and the setting that go with it is a good idea. Maybe we could come up with a standard way to post that.

Re: Calibration issues with new printer
Good info, thanks. I was using the flow rate to make quick changes during the initial infill calibration, after I got it to where I wanted it I converted the number and put it into the firmware. I think I have the machine 90% but as you know the last 10% can always be difficult but I'll keep working...

Re: Calibration issues with new printer
OK, here's an update. I re-ran the same procedure tonight and discovered it was massively over extruding and basically filling up the center and pushing around the excess. so I dropped the setting (M92 Ennn) to 60 from 92.650 (Default) and it cleared up once it got past the over extruded area. So wh...

Calibration issues with new printer
Like the subject says, its a new printer that I'm calibrating. I have done the z-height and end stop adjustment no problem. I checked the Esteps and it was good also (100 mm request =100mm of filament extruded) I was doing the E steps fine tuning and that when it went bad. I was printing the Cube St...

Re: So far, so good!
Let me make sure Iv'e got this straight in my head. Assuming you have the hot end installed, and you have the dial indicator mounted, you would run script 1 and set the nozzle to the correct height with the paper drag test by adjusting the stop screw. Once you have the height set you will zero the d...

Re: So far, so good!
I've seen the posts on that. Here's my questions, the dial indicator mounts I have seen have you remove the hot end and install the dial indicator in its place. How then do you know the height of your nozzle in reference to the bed? You will be able to establish a level plane but not in reference to...

How does one modify the extruder for 3mm filament? The bowen tube and fitting seems straight forward. What is in the extruder that needs changing?

Got it! I do have some graphite power lube and will use that. Thanks for the quick response! This is one of the reasons I went with this printer, great community support!

Assembly question-U joints
OK guys, first question. Assembly is going great so far. I just completed the U joints on the cheapskates and the metal joints are nice and free on the axle but once I install the spring clip on the axle, it loads or squeezes the joints inward and prevents them from rotating freely. Is this OK? Will...

Re: Hans makes a build thread for a Rostock Max V2
I ended up going with the Cosair CX750 and opened it up to remove the nest of wires and replace it with heavy gauge stuff. That power supply is a single rail design also.
