Re: swapping RAMBo to RAMPS
@eric : Yeah, sorry for being terse. I was assuming someone had tried swapping RAMBo for RAMPS with SeeMeCNC's Orion .91 and would have run in to the same issue. One would expect that simply changing the motherboard from 301 to 33 would just work, or at least compile, but it throws errors: Commands....

swapping RAMBo to RAMPS
So, after two weeks of futzing with my new Orion I had to send the RAMBo board back for testing and, hopefully, a replacement. In the meantime, since SeeMeCNC wouldn't send out a replacement without getting the original board back first (which, let's be honest, is pretty awful customer care), I woul...

Re: After a few layers, Orion loses the plot...
Thanks. But mine isn't an extrusion issue, the machine hasn't behaved properly since I got it a week ago thursday. It shut itself down 10% into the first print and has been getting progressively worse. I've been in contact with support and think we're agreed that the issue is bad RAMBo.

After a few layers, Orion loses the plot...
Hi All, First, apologies if this has been solved elsewhere. I tried searching (not sure what the right term would be) and have read many posts here, but could find the same issue. Anyhoo, I've had my Orion for four days and, though my first print (this same part, Kossel Mini plate_3x) failed because...

Re: Brand New Orion Shutdown ~3hrs into print
Thanks to you both.
I will be contacting support. For now, I've just removed the front panel and it's been printing fine, though I haven't tried the same plate again.

Brand New Orion Shutdown ~3hrs into print
Hi All, So I got my Orion this morning, got it setup ad calibrated. Started printing a set of parts for a Kossel Mini (plate_3X) in ABS. Aside from the fan hitting the bowden/wiring while doing the skirt and a little curling on the bigger parts it was looking good. Then, just about 50% into the prin...

Thanks!teoman wrote:Welcome onboard.
These deltas are well engineered. If you have already built a 3d printer you will see that it is easy to live with.

Got an Orion on the way to Silicon Valley
Hi All, I just ordered an Orion to bring to a iOS/InternetOfThings hackathon at eBay HQ (San Jose, CA) the weekend of August 22nd. It will join a pretty stock Kossel mini and perhaps a couple of other delta variants at a 3D printing station my company is setting up for the hackers. As this is the fi...

So much awesome! I want one right, freaking, now. If you ever want to develop this in to a mass produced product let me know.
