Rostock Max V2 For Sale
Unfortunately I have to downsize in my next move and I just can't find room to bring this thing with me across the country. I hope that I can get it to a good home and someone will enjoy as I have. It's currently located in San Diego, CA but I am willing to drive it myself to anywhere in the Los Ang...

Upgrading to 3 Layer Fans
I've been working the past few days on easily increasing the number of layer fans from the stock single layer fan to 3 layer fans. I'm at a good enough point that I thought I would post my progress and get feedback. I aimed to do this upgrade with as little disassembly and as few custom designed par...

Re: Installing dampers -- disassembly required?
I just installed the Astrosyn dampeners on my Rostock Max V2 and it does require a little bit of disassembly and time, but I think it is worth it. I managed to replace all three of mine in about an hour and it makes a big difference in noise from the machine. My method of installation probably isn't...

Re: Pyramid Calibration Print
Here are my retraction and Z-lift settings:
Length: 5.4mm
Lift Z: 0.2 mm
Speed: 100 mm/s
Extra length on restart: 0.1 mm
Minimum travel after retraction: 2 mm
Retract on layer change: true
wipe while retracting: false
Do these look like reasonable numbers?

Re: Pyramid Calibration Print
Yeah I have the stock layer fan. I was thinking of trying to attach another 2 layer fans similar to the stock one or using one of the redesigned layer fans people have made on here for the Rostock MAX. I'll try using Skeinforge for the next calibration pyramid and seeing how it turns out.

Pyramid Calibration Print
Hello, I just recently received and got my Rostock Max V2 up and running. It took me about 4 days to get it assembled and up and running. Now I'm in the calibration and testing phase. I've managed to print some nice looking spiral vases using the spiral vase setting in Slic3r and the default PLA set...
