I have been running AstroPrint here recently on a Raspberry Pi 2 board and have been very pleased with the performance compared to what I had with the Raspberry Pi 1 board that I used a couple years ago... (Sorry I don't have any data on processing) Instead of using the cloud slicing, I am still doi...

Re: Rostock Auto Calibration and Time-Space Teleportation Op

All three of you are correct. We are working on a probing solution that will be released with the ERIS model and we will be working to have it retrofit for older and existing models. It is in the debugging stage, but I don't have manufacture / ship date as of yet. It is a pretty awesome solution!

Re: Weird things happening

It sounds like one of your stepper motors skipped some steps. This occasionally happens on long prints when the nozzle "trips" over the print.

Try adjusting the Travel Speed to 150, and the Z lift to 1mm and run the print again.

Re: Rostock Max V3 - requests, suggestions, etc.

Funny that this thread surfaced again... V3 has been officially rumored! New things like the injection molded carriages and the ball-joint arms are already here, and other upgrades are also being schemed about. I'm sure that Andy and JJ would appreciate a list of fresh suggestions. It is definitely...

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

There has not been a preview posted here on the forum yet, the status is still considered to be in development. As PartDaddy said though, a lot of time has been spent speaking with customers, sifting through the forums, discussions within our team etc in the development of the design. With that said...

NEW FILES! Hey guys, I have uploaded a couple new fan shroud files to print out for the new Ball-Cup arm upgrade kits! The PEEK fan shroud is slightly different to eliminate interference with the arms when printing at the full extents of the printers 11" capability: http://repables.com/r/620/&q...

Re: Removing the glue stick fun.

Why remove the glue between prints? A single coating of glue can last for many prints. Another great option is to use AquaNet Extra Super Hold UNSCENTED hairspray like this: http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/219200/450.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Just apply a thin sp...

You have blown the fuse in the F3 position on the RAMBO board. This is the fuse that controls logic for the board, No working fuse means no working working RAMBO. Here is a diagram of the board layout and fuses: http://reprap.org/mediawiki/images/b/b4/Ramb1-2-fuses.jpg" onclick="window.ope...

Good Heating resistors = right around 4 ohms. Much greater than 4 ohms would mean you have one that has gone out.

Re: Issues with EZStruder

210 should be perfect for PLA. When you loaded the firmware on the RAMBO did you reduce the motor current as directed in the manual on page: 238-239? The current Automation Technology Stepper Motors, like the Kysan stepper motors require less current which will keep the motors running a bit cooler a...

Re: Can the RMAX V2 do a nozzle prime/wipe at start of print

This is something that does not really have to be machine specific. You can indeed have custom starting GCODE that would "prime" the hot end, and if you wanted there could be a designated wiping area. Most commonly this priming is automatically accomplished by creating a SKIRT around the o...

For those of you who have ordered the ACER P1283 projector, I just uploaded what we're calling the "Projector Riser" to Repables. The 40mm version (78752 40mm Projector Riser_Locator.stl) is the one you'll want to print 3 of as you wait to get your Beta Kits. Just ignore the 30mm version f...

Thanks for sharing, nice print by the way. Is that ABS or PLA? You may have better luck getting parts to stick to the glass plate with an Elmers glue stick or Aqua Net hairspray.

Making the change has been yielding some great results for the printer on my desk at work and at home. The current firmware has the Car...
