I have a max v1. I am trying to update the firmware since i have been having problems with lost steps and overheating of the y tower motor. However when i try to upload the latest firmware from the download page I get an error saying there is a problem with eeprom.cpp. I will update the exact syntax...

i am conflicted with using eeprom. I've read that (especially when levelling) you do not want to use eeprom.

I have a ver 1 max. I am tring to address the leveling screw construction on my machine. It seems that the screws do not screw perfectly straight up and down. Has anyone address this issue?
