Did you ever figure out a way around not being able to adjust the temp from the LCD? I am having the same issue. I can hit 275 through Repetier Host, but trying to adjust with LCD max is still 240.

I've read many complaints about the stock Rambo fan being really loud. Mine would groan and it drove me nuts. If you are looking to replace it, I recommend trying the Noctua NF-A4x10. I did make sure to leave it a touch loose for the cheapskates and runs completely silent. Everything is adjustable through the velcro so you can tighten/loosen as needed. I added some more velcro to the top outside so I can leave it in the open position, it's like drapes for the machine.. lol!
