Re: Slic3r offset by 100,100 on v2 max arduino version
Thankyou Geneb I downloaded slic3r according to seemecnc guide at https://seemecnc.dozuki.com/Guide/Setting+Up+Slic3r/71. I followed the procedure but was stumped by the controller not being active. Its a tiny setting that you have to check under preferences then restart slic3r. I did manage to expo...

Slic3r offset by 100,100 on v2 max arduino version
Hi , I have searched this topic and only found old posts on this. When I try to use slic3r in matter control, the slicer offsets the print by 100,100 in the x y plane so the print is off the edge of the bed. Can anyone help me to center the print ? I need slic3r because I need to get rid of the seam...

Re: My First (self-designed) 3D Printed Part
well done! I can remember similar feelings about my first printed design. My v2 max is the best investment I have ever made. Is a servo not overkill for this project ? A simple nema 17 stepper as used in the printer, driven by a basic uno with a stepper motor board can do anything you need. good luc...

Re: E3D V6 Printer Head Mod!
Hi I have just cooked my original max v2 hot end, and as I live in South Africa I am limited as far as spares are concerned. I have managed to source an all metal hot end that looks just like yours with a 100 k thermistor. I intend to copy your method of attachment as I have never needed the full he...

Re: Nozzle made a Nozzle
I had a similar problem with blobbing. It could be due to the previous layer not having cooled sufficiently before the next layer is printed. One easy solution is to print two at a time or print another dummy part so the layers have time to cool. Amazing resolution though, you are moving into the re...

Re: clucking extruder - air printing
Problem Solved, thanks for the advice The printer is back to its former glory. The brass nozzle was blocked with overcooked ABS, so I unscrewed it and soaked it, and picked at it with a tiny screw driver, then repeated again and again until the overcooked ABS softened and could be extruded by hand b...

Re: clucking extruder - air printing
I have been printing on the standard settings for abs that came with the setup instructions ie. 30 mm/s. I have cranked up the speed in the manual control window in Repetier to 150 , 200 and 300 percent which would be 90 mm/s max. In general i print at about 45 mm/s. Also thanks for the PLA scrap hi...

Re: clucking extruder - air printing
ABS at 225 C . I did print the beginning of a small part in PLA at 225 C by mistake about two weeks ago, and it jammed much like it is doing now, but once I removed the PLA it printed just fine in ABS again

clucking extruder - air printing
I have been using my new Rostock max v2 for a few weeks with no extrusion problems. lately the first few layers have been very thin (like my z0 is too high) and yesterday it just stopped extruding with the extruder clucking like it does when you press the manual extrude button before it gets up to f...

Re: Heated bed cannot reach temp
I Have just printed my first peek fan parts. I had the same problem. After waiting for more than an hour I covered the glass with tea towels, turned off the hot end heater and set the bed temp target to 115 c. I got it up to 87 degrees C max, so I just configured the slic3r to print with a bed temp ...

Re: position feedback
Thanks for your insight. Given the millions of individual stepping instructions necessary to build a complex part, I find it pleasantly astonishing that 14 + hour prints dont walk off the build platform, out the door and down the street. ;) I will just file this whole topic under ' dont scratch wher...

position feedback
I have recently ordered a max v2, and while waiting for shipment have been doing some research into the controller. As I understand it , the max v2 uses a rambo controller board with three of the outputs driving the 1, 2 and 3 delta steppers, another driving the extruder stepper, and 2 mosfets drivi...
