Re: Extruder Skipping help!
This has been the biggest ongoing issue I've been fighting with my v2 printer since I bought it. Given the COVID stuff I'm hoping to get it running again... I am not encouraged that this is literally one of the first posts I saw. My theory is that the design of the printer leads to these issues bein...

Re: new he280 hotend issues
I had a similar issue but it was due to the ambient temperature the printer was in being below 18 degrees C.

HE280 Bed Levelling issues w/ Oldschool Carriage/Arms/Platform
Got my printer to the point where I can start "auto-calibrating". I altered my configuration.h as follows: -Set the printer as "V3", (5). #define PRINTER 5 -Reversed the proper axis to match V2. // ###### Inverting Axis Settings #elif PRINTER == 5 #define INVERT_X_DIR 1 #define I...

Re: HE280 Upgrade / Repetier .92 upgrade causing repeated shutdowns???
Just for posterity & TLDR; the shutdowns were resolved with a new 625W power supply

Re: HE280 Upgrade / Repetier .92 upgrade causing repeated shutdowns???
Yeah, so I happened to have a 625W supply sitting around so I wired it up and it fixed the issue with the shut offs. Now I'm having issues with the firmware/rambo. Also I noticed that nothing in the new firmware is configured for my version of the rostock with the oldschool carriages and arms... whi...

Nope, not yet... I can try that though.
I used to have a pico3d on there which uses a 40w cartridge heater, didn't have any problems... and I actually had more fans when I was running that... I have the original platform and stuff, so there was no room for that stack of fans.

HE280 Upgrade / Repetier .92 upgrade causing repeated shutdowns???
I've seen a couple possible solutions to this that I honestly haven't tried yet. Thought I could hopefully save some putzing around and a few hours of my life by asking here first. Last night the HE280 showed up at my door and like a little kid at Christmas I started building it that instant and ins...

Re: Upgraded to HE280 and extruder stepper not working
I thought my extruder wasn't working after installing the HE280... turned out it the firmware just doesn't turn it on until it's up to temps... thankfully only about 30 minutes of my life was wasted before I discovered that...

Re: HotEnd Resistors Silicone Alternative ??!?
I second avoiding that stuff. I think it's ok to use it as a thermal compound but don't trust it as an adhesive on it's own , (As described in the manual). Just a couple days ago I had my thermistor pop out a hair after cleaning my nozzle. Long story short I did a good job of installing it, cleaned ...
