I think this is the issue, but it looks like something is making the speed go too fast when I print this from kisslicer using an SDcard to print.geneb wrote:The smaller the nozzle size, the slower you have to print. Don't mess with the flow multiplier.

Re: Amazed by small intricate print
Thanks for this! I plugged in your numbers for extrusion width and upped my temperature. I have some improvement, but still having starvation issues but to a lesser extent. I believe the issue is something wonky in Kisslicer, because I have the speed set to 10mm/sec and the extruder head is really m...

Re: Amazed by small intricate print
I've had a .35mm nozzle in my possession for a couple of weeks and this awesome print inspired me to give it a try. After installing the nozzle and starting my print I noticed that the extruder was moving much faster than it was when I had the other stock 0.5mm nozzle. I am using kisslicer and print...

Priming the EZ-Struder
Does anyone have any tips on the best way to get the filament to go into the Bowden tube when being installed from a fresh roll? I Open the roller clamp lever and push the filament in the little gap and past the hobbled gear, but it seems like it doesn't like to find the hole in the aluminum bushing...

Re: It's alive but, ...
In addition to calibration, it is important to get the filament average diameter calculated. If your filament is extruding too thick the walls of the fan shroud will be fatter than needed and the fan will be too tight. The fan itself is a standard size that meets strict dimensions, so it probably di...

Do you have a nice flat part bottom with little or no seams or grooves in it, no issues with prints coming loose, no issues with warping or layer separation?
If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I used WD-40 300052 Specialist Dirt and Dust Resistant Dry Lube PTFE spray on mine, and it worked extremely well. This product had a lot of positive reviews, so I gave it a shot. I like that it's clean (invisible) and does not attract dirt.

Re: Wires don't match instructions... ARGH!
The thermistor leads are very long and thin and so they don't conduct much heat all the way to the solder joints. The solder joints connect them to a comparatively heavy gauge wire (compared to the thermistor lead), which acts as a heat-sink for any heat that comes from the thermistor lead. It wicks...

Re: Automatic Nozzle Wiper
Also, can this be configured such that you can wipe the nozzle at the end of every layer? I think Captain Starfish mentioned that that is what the up printer does. If I were making such a thing, I'd put a blade or something that rapidly wiped across the nozzle tip so it would not take extra time. I...

even more awesome is when the solder melts and the heater wire comes loose and shorts out against one of the other wires, which (depending on the random luck) will blow up:
a) A fuse on the RAMB0
b) The Thermistor
c) The RAMB0
c) Any combination of the above.
Don't solder those connections!

If that were true, simply washing the plate between prints would be a problem for every person here because I have never seen anyone recalibrate between prints and have ne...

I have an SUV, so it fits on the floor with the rear seat pushed up and it is so close to the center of gravity of the car, it doesn't tip or sway. The footwell holds it from sliding in any direction, so I never had to consider strapping it in.

I put the arms inverted line that and some rubber bands to hold the cheapskates down against the base. If you drive carefully and avoid sudden braking, or turning, or acceleration, it will be fine and will not even lose calibration.

Re: Suggestions on using whole bed and reducing curling
If you make multiple pieces at one time on the bed, you can use your modeling program to combine all of the parts into a single part with a custom "brim" you build into the model. I've had luck positioning several pieces as if they are on the build plate and then adding a 1mm thick "b...

Is it possible to just feed a new roll behind the one that is ending and just let the new one push the old one down the Bowden tube? The retracts would not work, but once what was in the line was cleared it would be ok, right?

Brian, that's definitely not normal. I have vapor smoothed a lot of ABS parts, and after a few hours of off-gassing, they go back to regular ABS hardness. I also noticed that after vapor polishing, the parts have a pecular stink to them. I gather this is also something that does not normally happen...

3D Printing at the moment is at about the same state of personal computing as the Apple I was when it was released. I think the kit is good. Manual is also very good and clear. Things like cleaning powersupply is really for the retentive types (which is most of us). You end up stuffing the excess wires in there somewhere and never see them again :) Built in PSU is not convenient as then you cannot feed different...

I didn't have any issue at all with your question. I'll be doing a new spin of the manual soon and I'll try to be more clear with the power supply wiring. There's no way in hell I'm going to recommend that someone pop the supply open and clean up the wires. 4 would do it right and 1 would either el...
