Re: Is this a temperature, speed, or extrusion problem?
To me, this looks like a cooling issue. If you watch the print while it does the 'sloppy' part, I bet you would see it push down the previous layers. This is because the previous layer has not cooled enough and is still too soft. I would suggest slowing down to allow more cooling time, or kicking th...

Re: Next generation Duet
I personally think wifi is a great addition. I think they made the right choice here. Wifi is way more common than wired ethernet connections these days. I don't think you get any real tangible benefit from wired over wireless in something like this. Yes, you might get slightly faster transfer speed...

Re: Auto-calibration options using FSRs?
I know I'm kind of late here, but I recently installed FSRs and had a similar issue with OpenDACT. It was because of the Z Height. OpenDACT fast moves to Max Z - 10 mm; then it moves slowly and listens for the FSRs to activate. My Max Z height was set way too high (FSRs plus mounts removed Z height)...

Re: Raspberry Pi case w/ mount for Repetier-Server setup
Thanks for the heads up! Ordering one right now. I'll also start modifying my case design to work for the Pi 1 Model B+ and new Pi 2 Model B (it's awesome that they use the same form factor). Thanks everyone. Since I'm in the process of designing/building 2 more printers I'm also looking at getting...

Re: V2 Enclosure
Could the brackets be expanded a little bit (to overhang the base) in order to clear the layer fan? I really like this enclosure, but don't want to worry about where my prints happen to land on the build plate. How much more clearance is needed? Obviously, this would change the size of the plexi nee...

Re: MG Chemicals
I actually picked up a .5kg spool of MG Chemicals Gold (Gold color was on sale for like $12). Loaded it up the other day and did a few prints. Nothing massive, but prints fine so far. I have to check my notes, but I think the size averaged 1.7mm.

Re: And the print just STOPPED
Alrighty I finally got brave enough to update my firmware, and it wasn't as hard as I imagined. I even started printing up some of the parts that gave me problems before. Everything seemed to be working, until last nite. I started up a long run print job (14 hour) and went to bed. I woke up this mo...

Re: Hello from Indianapolis
Welcome to the forum. I live in Lawrence near Castleton (recently moved from Noblesville). I got my Max going about a month or so ago. I love it. So much fun being able to create random widgets.

Re: Hello from Northern Indiana!
I had some trouble getting the ABS print to stick as well. I got about halfway through once or twice. I have had pretty good luck with the purple glue stick, but I tend to use a single layer of the stuff. Definitely double check your calibration. I went back and calibrated mine using some spark plug...

Re: Walls of printed layer fan too thick?
I also just printed the fan shrouds and found them to be a little snug. I could get the fans in there, but it was VERY snug, and the PEEK fan wouldn't turn with the extra pressure. I just took a square file and filed the hole a little bit bigger for the fan.

The duct I specify is a better choice. g. Not if your file doesn't unzip. LOL! To be fair, the .zip file on the site is fine. The structure and file name are off (looks like the auto zip creator on the site is including absolute file path). But the file is correct. If you rename 13945846526265_8647...
