Re: HE280 Bed sensing Not working.

Okay, so warming up and sitting for a while made the 'DEF' 'DEF' go away. I brought this in my car which was at -19 this morning, and I saw that DEF DEF is NORMAL for the printer when the temperature goes below some value like 15C (and -19F is WAY colder than 15C) So back to the simple problems. Whe...

Re: HE280 Bed sensing Not working.

Did not see activity on console when tapping. I moved the machine to work this morning (in -19 F weather), and now it is giving me a DEF DEF every time I turn it on (was fine yesterday) I've reseated the connector 10 times now. no luck. I'll have to go over the wires again. I brought it in so I coul...

HE280 Bed sensing Not working.

I have the HE2800 I just added to my MAX V2. I cannot get it to calibrate, it gives no output when it hits the bed. I believe the wiring is correct. I have the PS-ON ohmed out, I tried the T0 both ways (swappping the green and white wires) I think the I2C is wired right, but I will be taking a scope...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Your link is broken - but if you retype the broken part it gets you there. Yes, that is the useful wiring diagram that I found and used to check my wiring. Pretty sure it is all good but I'll recheck it. Is there a possibility that any of the connections in the HE280 are not seated? I can just pull ...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

G29 Calibration screws up everytime. I eventually got it to print, but I had to set the Z origin over and over again. my BlinkyEyes print peeled up on one part a bit, I turned the bed down to 50 instead of the 90 or whatever the 'PET' (Acttually I have a PETG ) filament type default is. The head see...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Okay, so I loaded the 1.6.0 version into my Rambo. (ardueno warned that it might be unstable when I compiled and loaded it) I set the Z height using the paper and 'set Z origin', then do the 'full calibration'. The head comes down, hits the bed, then skitters over to the Z tower slamming into it. (w...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Okay, on my work machine I got Repetier to compile with no errors, 1.6.0 and the correct options for my machine and with the Mega 2560 selected.

Of course I'll have to repeat it at home, and load it on the printer.

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I got it from the link to the seemecnc/firmware from the rambo firmware upgrade guide.

The first line in the 'error' message does not say anything about an error. Makes it hard to recognize that it might be giving help info.
I'll recompile with that tonight.

Thanks!

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Hi Gene, I just downloaded and installed 1.6.0 ardueno, and the firmware-master from github. I don't understand why I would get errors WHEN I HAVE NOT TOUCHED THE SOURCE Trying to compile the VIRGIN Repetier.ino project with 1.6.0, I get these errors: [color=#800000]Arduino: 1.6.0 (Windows 8), Board...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I solved the DEF DEF issue, it turns out that the connector had pulled out of the hot end a little bit. I had skipped the step about zip tying it in, until I figured out the def def. I zip tied it forcing the connector to be pulled sideways towards the bowden tube fitting. The compiler seems to have...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Problems: 1) there is a DEF DEF displayed instead of hot end temperatures. 2) the 'calibration' does not work. My Z height is 375mm. G29 only ever goes down 350mm, even though I have #define Z_MAX_LENGTH 380 set in the PRINTER == 2 section. (and I have printer set to 2) The head homes Z, then goes d...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

Oh, also I had a nice LED triangle that I had mounted on my old hotend.
It tapped into one of the fan supplies and gave nice light.

Is there anywhere on the HE280 I can connect my lights? Again, a schematic would be helpful.

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I machined my adapters now and they are installed, using the tricklaser trucks. (I'll try to get pictures, they are always nice) I'm going through the 50 step upgrade instructions, and I cannot find schematics of what it is I am doing. Yes, lots of step by step and get the'green' wire here, but as a...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I'm glad the position of the top of the arms won't hurt things. I actually don't know where it will end up, as the trick trucks are so thin that even with my adapter they might be moving out 1/4" instead of in. The other factor is that while I will have to spend time fabbing these, if I had gon...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I'm Tempted, But Idesigned a mount that I have to make onmy mill. 1/2"x1"x3" times 3, 5 holes each, 3 tapped, and 3 areas I have to hog out some. I think I can do all the hogging with the three parts clamped together in the vise (same for the drilling). The annoyance is the mill is in...

Re: HE280 Rev B with Max v2?

I bought the HE280 to put on my max V2, and there is a problem. I upgraded the original lasercut skates with the trick laser trick trucks. Max V2 upgrade to HE280

I have a Max V2 with trick laser arms and carriages (and .9 degree steppers). I got a clogged nozzle yesterday, and when trying to pull the nozzle off I broke the thermistor (I suspect I should have heated it up first...) Anyway, I've been wanting to get the bed leveling stuff working, so here is my...

Re: Delta Calibration Wizard now online

My tricklaser arms are whatever the standard length they come as, I assume that is same as the original arms... I don't know.

What is the Octoprint plugin? what software does it plug into? I thought the Octoprint stuff had something to do with a raspberry Pi.

Re: Delta Calibration Wizard now online

I have a Max V2 with upgraded arms from Brian. What would I have to do to add this capability to my machine?

I assume I would need the accelerometer board and newer software in my Rambo... And then mount my head in that new board?

Re: Prints poorly after update

I just ran the update and the Max V2 printer is unhappy.

I have .9 degree (400 step per rev) steppers in it. it clearly switched it back to 200 steps per rev.
How do I fix this?

Did the MC update actually reset all the EEPROM settings in my printer???? If so, they should be shot.

Just checking in - it's been a while. I am having this problem too - I had been running from a laptop, but I brought the printer into work where it has a dedicated computer. So I had to install Mattercontrol from scratch and use with the default Rostock Max V2 settings. When mine fails, only on larg...

Re: Missing wife

Unfortunately they don't turbocharge the V8, so there is not an eco-boost 5.0l. Which is about as sad as not getting a manual, but I can live without a manual in the tow rig - just not the race car.
