Thermistor Fail

ok, So I pretty much killed my old hotend. (thermistor) So I ordered a e3d v6 hotend and assembled it and made my own makeshift mount and such today. I soldered all the wires including the thermistors to the wires that were previously there for the old hotend. My question was, when I turned on the p...

Printing large print.

Hey Guys I am thinking about doing my first very long and large print. It would take over 24 hours and require at least $8 for part of it. I was looking at it however before I got to printing and wasnt sure about the size. Is this too big to print off on a orion?

Strongest Filament?

I am looking for a strong filament That can withstand quite a lot of of force and It also Must be pretty easy to print with like PLA. It would also be nice if it could be in color. Dual extrusion?

Hey I was wondering If seemecnc or anyone else was going to create a dual extruder upgrade for the orion like some other printers do nowadays. I thought it might be pretty nice to be able to do two colors at once. If there already is one then please direct me to it as I may be interested in one.

Repetier host 3d view

Ok So I am very happy with my orion. I love the quality and fast speed. But When I print using repetier host everything is normal until the printing starts. The 3d view only shows what is happening in the top right quarter of the build area. Mid way through a print I can see the 3d view except some ...

Re: convince me to buy one.

got my printer and have done a few prints. I had a perfect 1st print. I have found that prints done by the SD card come out much better than with computer and also I am using PLA. Why is the fan in such a odd position? Also What is fan.gcode used for? I printed it and have no idea.

Re: convince me to buy one.

@printer999 The ORION is setup for about 6" Dia build area. If anyone has noticed, the ORION Heated Bed has a usable diameter (marked by the white circle) of about 7-3/4" (196mm Dia). It's possible to reach outside of the 6" Dia circle where the platform does not interfere with the t...
