Re: ERIS Early adopter feedback
Holy1, Let me look into that, that's good feedback! Give me a few and I'll update this post *** Update *** Holy1, looks like that's the rates we're given by USPS :( UPS Standard is only $64, but the 'brokerage fee' would prob. be about the same, so it'd be a wash compared to the USPS rate. Thanks f...

Re: ERIS Early adopter feedback
I went through the order process but stopped when the shipping was going be $95.00 USPS. With the dollar conversion it would be $120.
I had to pass.
Bummer.

Here is a simple geared extruder I made up for Ninjaflex to used with a Bowden tube. It works well @ 40-50 mm/s. I know Bondtech is the best but not everyone has $200.

Re: E3D Titan Extruder
I have my Titan installed now and so far so good, haven't tried any difficult to extrude filament yet though, just some ABS. One thing to point out is definitely calibrate your extruder steps/mm as the 456 steps/mm that E3D's install guide was way off for me, I ended up with 403 steps/mm 20160416_1...

Indeed. I have sent several emails but either didn't get a response or just got shoulder shrugging. No one knows if anymore will be made.JFettig wrote:They appear to be out of stock.

Re: Not very impressed with Smoothie
I'm also absolutely disappointed I bought one as well. Its just sitting on the shelf now. I'm done with it. Arthurs attitude really killed it for me, anytime I reported a bug he blamed it on me or something I was doing, especially when it came to Simplify3d. The board can't handle the g-code, even ...

Re: GeckoTek Build Plate
(two years go by...) What do you think of your build plates? They have a kit for the Rostock Orion and MAX now, including the magnetic holder. The plates are flexible, so you can just remove the plate and bend it a little and the parts come right off. Should I spend a hundred bucks on this upgrade?...

Re: Quick Start guide?
I've been trying to get a slicer project off the ground for over a year. Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to fund it and I have way too much experience with the VC community to want to go down that path. I have a spec pretty much written for a next generation slicer unlike anything a...

Hi JFettig, How is the Radds working out? I would like to buy a new board for the CoreXY I have built and really like the idea of using Repetier as I am very familiar with it.
Thanks

Re: Hello from the Great White North
Hello! I live in Peterborough. Not too far from you. I started with an Orion 2 years ago then built a Max. Took the Orion apart for parts and made a cartesian printer and then finished up building a Core XY recently. 3d printers are a blast. I also use Fusion 360 exclusively as of a month ago. Happy...

I was once a fan of S3D. That ended about 10 minutes ago when I read this post. I will still use it for now but will revisit the free slicers again to see how they have improved in the last 2 years since I "upgraded to S3D".

I have used Geomagic (Alibre) for the last couple of years but made the switch to Fusion360 last month. I really like the way you can design and assemble in the same screen. Plus you can sculpt your model for that organic look if you want. Plus it is free for hobbyists. http://www.autodesk.com/produ...

It means that Canada has different ecommerce laws than the US that can dictate how and what information can be shared. I've worked for a Canadian based tech company and we had several situations where we were not able to do things that were straightforward in the US. Sorry if the tone put you off, ...
