Re: MetalMax Delta printer - belt catching on new linear rail - need advice please
Hi Jonathan, Adding idlers to move belt path out should work fine. You will need one top and bottom. However, the belt can not have a 90 degree twist like shown in your picture. You will loose some maximum printable area using the linear rails. Personally, I feel you will not see any noticeable adva...

Re: Calibration Help
100 mm/s retract speed is way to fast for PLA.
Try 20 or 25
z-lift between 3 to 5 mm is a good idea also.

Re: Laser Engraver (picture to g-code) for Repetier
Very cool.
I have a 2watt laser, and putting together a super shorty Rostock MAX from odd spare parts laying around for the laser. Now I need to find the time to finish it.
Your software looks very interesting!
Any recent developments on this?

Re: Bond tech extruder question....
I have several bondtech and they calibrate differently than the suggested value. Keep in mind the type of filament (soft, hard, etc.) Will effect the extruder steps per mm. As will how tight you make the drive roller adjustment, more on softer filaments. Really if you want to be super picky you coul...

Atomics carbon fiber petg is what I would recommend also.
You should use a steel nozzle, it is abrasive and will wear out a brass nozzle quickly.

Re: SIMPLE CONNECTOR FOR HOTEND WIRING COMING SOON
Never put tinned wires in a spring connector. It really wasn't hard to open the spring release Spring cage connections work well with tinned wires, unlike screw terminals, these connectors are designed for both solid, and stranded wires. Use a push pin to open the spring works best. You can push it...

Re: SIMPLE CONNECTOR FOR HOTEND WIRING COMING SOON
Got a board this past Thursday at the MakerHive. Install was super easy... the neatest and quickest EVER! Sure is nice to not have to crimp pins or solder. Very handy to have direct plug in compatibility with stock SeeMeCNC 8-pin plug wiring harness. Now I can quickly swap platforms between machines...

hmmm, other CF arms I have (shorter ones, about 271mm) has been unscrewed succesfully... but I need another ones to be upgraded (~326mm) The aluminum insert in Cf tube has a 8-32 threaded set screw in it, the set screw has thread lock compound on them so they may turn hard, but should be possible t...

Looks great! Brian, do you not sell the Prometheus hotend anymore? I currently do not stock them. I still believe that the Prometheus is a fine hot end however. And I still use them on some of my printers. You can buy them from the manufacturer in Canada, Dis-Tech Automation. In case you where wond...

Great - thank you so much! While we're at it - does your 8-pin wiring become loose/unplugged through every day printing? Happened to me last night, caused an 8+ hour print to fail. Thinking of wrapping it in kapton tape.. You could replace the OEM connector with this one that latches for a more sec...
