After reading all of this thread and some others, I am getting the impression that the user should turn off the Eprom until all of the calibration routines are completed.
Once the machine is fully calibrated turn the Eprom back on. Is this a sensible thing to do or am I misinterpreting what I am reading.

I think that would reduce a lot of head scratching, setting a height a few mm off the bed in firmware would also help, I also had written a post about how I did it so I avoid the head crashing and minimize my radius changes if i'm more than slightly off.

I d issues with my z axis that had me have to reinstall all software and recalibrate. I'm 1.35mm high in the center. My usual steps last time were to use Arduino and turn off eeprom, increase printer radius, turn on eeprom. then I would check calibration with Repetier. HOWEVER, turning off eeprom seems to no longer have the effect it used to and Im still 1.35mm high, even when I changed the radius from 198.25 to a ridiculous 290 in Arduino. My head is getting balder....I'm starting to peel skin from scratching my head so much....

Are you re-calibrating at the base of each tower after you change the PRINTER_RADIUS setting? If not, you will NEVER see a change no matter what you do to PRINTER_RADIUS. I got forcibly reminded of this when I forgot that step when building Blue Max.

I've checked the Axis after changing the Radius and they haven't changed either. I've calibrated with/ and without eeprom and both have the same result in that the Printer_radius still does not get affected when I change it. What I have found is that when I calibrate the manual way, my nozzle is 1.35mm too high. Then I tried it minow's way (your reference link) by doing it all with eeprom off and the result is my nozzle is now 5.8mm too low. Again, changing the radius still had no effect.

Is there a reason why adruino is not used all the time instead of eeprom?

To "make your life easier" so you can change variables on the fly, I consider it a theoretical idea because it still has bugs ;( I always just reflash the firmware, never get problems, never had problems....

Im having nothing BUT issues. my radius changes are not affecting my nozzle height and my X axis is about 8mm higher than the other 2 axis when all 3 are "flush". starting to piss me off....

Let me try again - if you're not adjusting the end stop screws after every PRINTER_RADIUS change, you'll never see the result of your PRINTER_RADIUS change.

Scripts 1-3 (should be for each of the towers, script 4 is the center) are the only scripts you make screw adjustments on.

Script 4 is the center script, the ONLY adjustment you make to change this height is the firmware values like PRINTER_RADIUS.

And the max height values affect all points/scripts the same.

The "X axis is about 8mm higher than the other 2 axis when all 3 are "flush". starting to piss me off" is a very confusing statement, my brain goes wobbly trying to picture it.
