Updating Firmware/ now current settings

Hi All,
I have a RMv2, Ball cup arm, HE280 (w/ HE300 head and thermister) and the accelerometer board. I am updating the firmware. it is now telling me i need motor currents to proceed with the upload. what do i need?

What it's telling you is that the variable/constant "MOTOR_CURRENT" is undefined in the scope of this routine. Where did you get your firmware files?

Since you're being tight-lipped, I'm assuming version 0.92. Details Pinky, details...

You need to define "MOTOR_CURRENT" at some point

Look in either "configuration.h" for one of these lines, and uncomment one of them (remove the "#" from the front of the line):

MOTOR_CURRENT is already correctly defined. I suspect he's not set the configuration options for the printer and hot end type properly. (it's at the very top of Configuration.h)

ALL the firmware that the Rostock MAX v2 or 3 uses is 0.92. It's the revision date that's meaningful. :)

You were right geneb, I had put the machine type as Eris. Fixed that. Loaded the new firmware. Now my home direction is backwards. The firmware is 92.2 20171204. This is what I get for updating after running it for over 4000 hours and only minor upgrades. The hotend was causing issues and decided to do some upgrades.

I have set Zero from the LCD Panel (not in the same place it used to be), but my homing is still going down. if I move the axis, a positive movement goes down, negative goes up. And i noticed my extruder motor is not working. I will need to look at other posts about this.

Try making one of your Endstop limits while it is trying to home in the wrong direction. I had problems with the drive going in the wrong direction, swapping motor direction fixed it.

I looked over your Config.h and compared it to one of my old ones. This struck me as odd:

Adding the Z length did nothing. I changed the motor direction on all 3 motors, and that worked. I found out I had to change the motor direction on the extruder too. It is up and running, and does a G29 calibration now too. Thanks for all your help.

Did you look at your thermistor type? 97 is the default type in an unmodified Configuration.h file. I think that Rostocks come with type 8 normally (Gene would know).
