Post by Tumbler » Sun Jul 03, 2016 11:25 am

Having this problem now of too much space when extruding. Here is a pic where you can clearly see the problem. Any ideas? Thank you.

Z = 0 setting, filament diameter setting (should be as-measured), extruder drive calibration, or extrusion multiplier.

Try the print again, but this time play with the extrusion multiplier. It is accessible by the lcd while you are printing.

If by increasing it you get a satisfactory result you know that your problem is with the filament diameter OR extrusion multiplier OR extruder calibration (the are all used to calculate how much extrusion should be done per mm).

Also redo the Z height again before this as mentioned above.
When on mobile I am brief and may be perceived as an arsl.

Sorry for the long delay in replying as I've not been near my printer for some time. Extrusion multiplier worked great. I saved it to my presets for that particular filament going forward. Thanks
