On Order

Post by nitewatchman » Mon Aug 06, 2018 2:35 am

Pulled the trigger last night on an Artemis with the color display. After following posts and reviews, can wait to get my hands on it.

My 4 year old Max 2+ is getting a little tired and cranky.

I also have a 4 yer old Max2.
I have been inactive in this for a couple of years, last upgrade/update was trick trucks and I don't think I have printed much since then.

Started to price out upgrades, SE300 hot-end, etc.
Then board upgrade and whatever all else - - wondering about the ACTUAL backward compatibility of these parts and want to NOT do much wire crimping or soldering.

So, a whole new machine ?
Artemis has a slightly bigger build volume, mostly height.
Less assembly work than a V3.2, but about twice the price.
Supposedly quieter, self calibrating and "better" in several other ways.
Dual extruders seems attractive.

Hmmm, much cogitating yet to be done.
