Does the H2 properly calibrate?

If it goes through the entire process, I wouldn't worry about it.

Wait... "enter new item and save"? eh?

G29 kicks off the auto-cal and when it finishes there's nothing for you to enter anywhere. The routine saves the info in the firmware itself.
What makes you think you have to enter something? *confused*

Nope, all that is done by the firmware when you run G29.

If the recv error is intermittent, I'd re-check the whip wiring.

Note that you don't need to do G29 more than once unless you've changed something mechanically with the printer, changed the nozzle, or removed the bed and replaced it.

If it's any consolation, even the "experts" get it wrong now and again. Imagine my surprise when I'd discovered my built-during-a-live-stream H2 had the towers in the wrong locations. ;)
