Re: Heater issues

You do an

M303 Heater 1 Temp 210
M303 H1 S210

Followed by an
M303

Write the parameters down

Then check config.g and config-override.g
Under M307 command you should see the parameters you wrote down.

Re: Mods.. (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly)

First Print with a Titan Aero 1) Speed is the only downside I see with this mod. 2) An 8 ring Gyro is a reference print I use m a) the centerball is usually extremely difficult to print (I sometimes don't print the center ball) b) to print on the Artemis I had to run lean c) it took a tremendous amo...

Re: Heater issues

---Sorry I was on my Ipad,, I am "Mr. Magoo with that contraption" and with software in general. Dead time is a guess on my part, based on a similar problem that I had. My problem was not heating fast enough with the introduction of a new hot end and different brand of thermistor. 1) I wou...

OK, at present this just seems to be an issue on warmup not when the hotend is up to temperature.

There is no M307 in the default configuration file for H1

Re: Duet Tuning.

I changed the thermistor I am getting some heater fault errors due to what I think is a slightly lower heat up time Actually I think it may be a much larger mass that needs to heat up in the Titan Areo (and I am not using the E3d thermistor because I don't like the fragility of them) temperature ris...

Mods.. (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly)

My original intent was to keep the Artemis in a solid state from the factory; instead I am using the machine as a "lab machine" (with my Rostock Max V2 being my main "production" machine). It's not that the Artemis needs to be modded in any way as its very much turnkey. If you ma...

Re: adarcher's build/troubleshooting

First layer problem could also be z-offset. You can also baby step the effector up/down a bit interactively using the duet interface. The printer could be set too fast as well. (and for me I find the software/programming/gcode aspects very challenging - not easy, with the mechanical stuff being the ...

Re: adarcher's build/troubleshooting

as i mentioned - i found that 12v can not run a geared extruder at high speed: that is in part why i am going to 24v.

Re: T-Slot Roll in for 10 Series 1/4 w 4mm or 5mm

Damn my solid state machine just became a "lab rat." A small change to config.g and config-override.g ; M665 R150 L351.155 B145 H530 X0 Y0 Z0 M665 R150 L351.155 B145 H464.5 X0 Y0 Z0 ; Titan areo to zero With the breakout board (patch board for the effector cables) I can now swap in effecto...

Re: adarcher's build/troubleshooting

You are not getting good calibrations; and you are not getting good first layers YET; All possible contributors; the position of the FSR pads were changed the bed clips were changed the printing surface was changed. and its unknown whether or not you are you still heating your bed before calibratin...

Re: adarcher's build/troubleshooting

My perception is that the machine was designed to be turnkey (even with some state of the work leading-edge features) I would suggest that the machine be restored to "factory defaults." (do it yourself/ask to have it done/pay to have it done/ if you are NY? ) If bed leveling is the issue, ...

Re: Polarity on E0 Heat?

So here is the plan.. I connect the original effector cables to the top pins, I can patch a homemade se300 effector cable to the Seemecnc Se300 hotend, The board connects (branches out) to a two pin header for a thermistor - a two pin header for always on fan - a two pin header for cooling fan. The ...

Re: Polarity on E0 Heat?

What exactly is the SE300 circuit board doing for me? I know that the circuit board will eventually be used for probing and other features. Essentially, and for now, there are 16 pins in total with only 6 meaningful wires. Why? Do I really want to build a patch board or just rewire the duet using sp...

Here is a Y axis extruder mount (for any extruder) that has holes for the EZRstruder.

Oh Bugs! (Bugs-used in place of a superlative)

1) I will really look like Mr. Magoo
2) I will be able to see
3) Brilliant!
4) Another $44 down the 3d printing wormhole.

(On another note, the Rambo on the Rostock max 2; can it support an extruder set at 800 steps +/- per 100mm)

I will be moving select Gcode commands from config.g to my print job preamble in Simplify3d I was thinking of how I would have to manage several extruder types in config.g and I realized that I could just move a command from config.g to slicer. Re: Tuning Simplify3d Profile

Hello Paul.. I am printing wirelessly. I think I remember seeing some issues with USB, if I recollect with "ground loop." I don't think that you should be printing over USB. From what I can tell. USB is just a way to set the machine up. I am using a dedicated router for 3d printing, that a...

Re: Duet Tuning.

Love the Batman quote! In terms of seeing small stuff a Mr. Magoo quote would have been more appropriate. I have all sorts of Molex latching coming in from Digikey. (ergh, hardware is massively expensive) That same Adafruit Perma-proto is going to be the basis of my effector "patch board."...

Re: T-Slot Roll in for 10 Series 1/4 w 4mm or 5mm

G.. That is a super idea. The actual 8020 hardware parts use a rubber post and cost about $1.00-$1.70 each. Hardware is super expensive; and the hardware I tend to need, I never have in stock. So far I have captured metal parts in a 3d print; I have melted 3mm nuts into a previous project; I would l...

Re: Duet Tuning.

Just setup a Kysan 1124090 8437 as an alternate extruder motor. I need to attach an extruder and do some tuning. The idea is to have a patch board so I can swap in any kind of extruder I want to use. The next patch board will accomplish the same for the effector. I will put a cover over the protoboa...
