Re: Firmware and motherboard issues for rostock max v3

The boot screen is the screen that shows the firmware version and date for a second before it switches to the temperature screen

Re: Bed won't heat past 97*

On the power supply there is a little pot that you adjust with a screwdriver to the left of the terminals. Put a volt meter on the terminals and crank the screw counterclockwise to increase the voltage. I usually aim for just under 14 volts. All the hardware is fine with that voltage. The one downsi...

Re: Bed won't heat past 97*

Also, you might want to crank up the voltage on your power supply to help it out. I run mine at almost 14 volts.

Re: Firmware and motherboard issues for rostock max v3

Unplug your I2C wires from the Rambo board. It's the red and black wire in the 4 pin connector. If it gets past the boot screen it means that your wiring for those wires is incorrect.

Re: Firmware and motherboard issues for rostock max v3

This sounds like a wiring issue. Double check your whip wiring on both ends. If it's wired incorrectly it'll produce this exact problem.

Re: Can't flash RAMBo Anymore

Do you have a PI laying around? I've had a similar thing happen when my computer wouldn't flash the rambo, but if I hooked it up to a PI and flashed it directly with AVR Dude it'd work just fine. After that flash it started working on the computer again too. Dunno why. avrdude -v -p m2560 -c stk500v...

One last thing. Post the top of your configuration.h file for your firmeware - everything above the warning not to mess with stuff (about the first 33 lines)

Re: Heater decoupled when trying to use Dual Extrusion

A few questions:

1) What's the date on the firmware you are using?

2) What are you slicing the print in?

3) Can you post the first 20 (or so) lines of gcode of the file you are trying to print?

Re: HE280 Upgrade print calibration issues

If you're willing to try Cura (or crack open the profile and transfer settings), check out the SeeMeCNC profile for ABS (https://github.com/seemecnc/slicing-pro ... uraprofile). JJ worked on this one and has been getting great prints out of it.

Re: Callibration issue

If the delta calibration wizard is saying it got your bed plane to within 0.02, you should be golden. I'm wondering if matter control is messing with the print. If you want, I'll slice a quick print for you to put on the SD card after running the delta calibration wizard to see if it'll stick.

Re: New duel extrusion

Try the latest Master branch of the firmware (posted last night) and see if that helps anything.

It also sounds like maybe your extruders are not being reset at the beginning of each print. Try adding this to your start GCODE:

Code: Select all

G92 E0
G92 E1

Re: New duel extrusion

When you say "Current", what's the date on your dev firmware?

Something to try: Run your print off the SD card and remove the USB cable and see if it does the same thing

If you want Z0 to be higher, subtract that amount (0.5mm in this case) from the Z Max length in the EEPROM.

Re: Auto bed leveling not working properly R Max v3

Sounds like you need to lower your max Z length and increase your horizontal radius. You can crack open the eeprom and manually mess with these values if you want, or they're buried in the lcd menu if you want to position the head and turn the dial until it looks about right.

Another popular possibility is not having the grub screws holding the motor pulleys onto the steppers tight enough. That'll cause all kinds of fun print shifting.

The color mixing problems vary depending on the filaments used, but I've discovered that there's not such thing as a purge tower that's too big when using a light colored filament.

Re: he280 temp issue

Try adding one of these:

https://www.seemecnc.com/products/barrel-fan-blocker

We've tested it on several machines with your issue and it's fixed them. PID tuning will also help. If you don't want to wait for the fan blocker to arrive, you can use kapton tape or something to block the gap between the heatsink fan and the heat block

Re: Rostock Max V2 (upgraded to 3) with declining temperature issues

You might want to try PID tuning your hot end. You can run: M303 P0 S230 X0 to do so. Personally I've had good luck with running it, letting the hot end cool to room temperature, then running it again. If you're using matter control, reset your connection before trying to do anything else after runi...
