Re: BerdAir comeing soon From Yellow Jacket Concepts

hmm, i've bought 6-7 of the round pipes and havn't had that issue. The holes are so small i'm surprised that there are burrs sizable enough to cause a blockage. If it were me, i'd just ask for a replacement.

Re: Aluminum Cyclops Water Cooling :D

Yes, I agree increasing the surface area would increase efficiency, but how does milling your own block accomplish it? You can still only cross drill it? Milling your own block would look better... but I think the tolerances for the collet and heat break and taper would require more than a drill pre...

Re: Oddness / sequential prints

Yeah, I'm sorry. I missed the bit about sequential.... I kinda still feel like it might be a issue with calibration. However, you also noted that it starts once you are a ways away from the bed. Well, your bed is heated (right?) and your print head moves further away from the heated bed, into cooler...

I'm actually more worried about the head movement messing with the tubing for the water supply, and since all the electronics are under the printer...

I'm going to try to mitigate some of the risk by putting the pump below the printer... but I'm not sure if that will matter, since it is a pump....

Re: Aluminum Cyclops Water Cooling :D

Why do you think machining a whole new block would be better? I have approximately zero knowledge regarding thermals and water cooling, but I can't imagine you'd get much more surface area exposed to the water.... I just sanded the two aluminum blockes and used thermal epoxy... I ran water through t...

Re: Aluminum Cyclops Water Cooling :D

We will see. It took me a while to get all the different tubing I needed to go from 5/16" to 5/32" tubing, and I am still working on it as I am designing the mounting system... I'm going to have the water cooled by a radiator... I think it's gotta do better than a fan blowing 50c air aroun...

Re: Oddness / sequential prints

if you print an object that is the same physical size as 4of the objects you are printing, does it have similar issues? If so, coulld be calibration problems. Errors for delta printers get larger the further you are from center. But what it mostly likely sounds like to me is issues with retraction (...

Re: Undermount / BerdAir

Personally though, I didn't see a point in having the leds right at the print head so I just got some ubdercabinet led pick lights and put them on the underside of the top.

The berdAir is great, but I'd buy extra of the round pipes, as bending them takes a bit of a learning curve...

Now that i have your attention, i see you'd doing some dual extrusion there, with im assuming a e3d cyclops. Is it possible to modify the cyclops hotend to accept a pt100 cartridge.

the problem with that diagram is that it only shows the single nimble confit and if looks like you got a two gang plate for the 2 gang... a drawing of that plate would be handy.

Re: Berd-Air and 713 upgrade.

be careful hooking up the berdair to your electronics. It will work fine on the rambo, since it has the life saving diode, but some electronics like the duet don't and it caused me to blow the mosfet on my board >_<. That's my fault, as i've ready plenty of times about brushed motors....

Re: Should I get a different hot end?

Well, i'm not sure with the v3, but v2's hot end is very capable printing pla and abs. Amazon gift cards are very liquid. I'd consider reselling them and getting duet electronics, since the electronics in the v3 are from the stoneage of 3d printing

Does the effector plate need to be ballanced?

Hi,
I am working on a cyclops mount, and the way i have designed it will mount to one side of the effector plate. Should i add weight to the other side to make the effector balanced or does it matter?

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

Yikes. Thats terrible. I wonder if the shipper did that to "make em fit" or it came from the factory that way. There are two pallets and two crates, they are just in the wrong order. We get light poles shipped in a lot and some of the time they end up warped because they use independent sh...

Yeah, i saw that as an option too, but they are 40mm.... i didn't really like the idea of having all that extra hanging off the side.
