Re: Greetings and extrusion question

If you download Matter Control from our download page, the profiles are already configured to generate "Skirt Loops". Typically 2 loops get the plastic flowing before starting the print. Only one level high is necessary.

Re: New carriages are available!

Send support @seemecnc.com an email and I will warranty the parts. Please send a photo of the broken parts with the email. Installing the spring arms correct is very important for longevity (I expect more than 10 years). If you put them on backwards, the arms will be stretched slightly. While they w...

check your model

Down loaded "The Great Pyramid Game" from thingy. Was printing with copper PLA, which looks really nice and fit the Egyptian theme. The model had a gap between the figure and the base, which cause poor bonding after I scaled it up. Didn't notice this when I sliced it. Only to find spaghett...

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

I don't recommend sanding the balls. If you look carefully, there is a flat deliberately put on the parting line of the balls. This leaves a tiny bit of room for minor flash. When injection molding, there can sometimes be flash at the parting line. Our solution was to put a flat around the ball at t...

Nice machine work. This should work fine with the new platform too from what I can see.

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

EL Cuajinais, you make some good points and have several good suggestions. Several are already done. Let's not rule out a v2 v3 upgrade kit just yet. Anything can be done. The heated bed is mounted and held different. Also, our circuit board mounted hot end is an all metal solution and can reach hig...

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

The transition to the new ball cup arms is today. All RMAX v2 kits are leaving the factory with the new arms. (Sorry about the short lead time Gene. It had to do with production and inventory levels.) Is the RMAX v2 kit getting phased out? No. We really haven't discussed a termination date. RMAX v2 ...

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

We'll be machining a mold for Orion ball cup arms next week. We probably won't change the arm length on the Orion. However, plastic injection molded ball cup arms do present a challenge in holding theoretical center to center distance. We measure the center to center distance after molding to provid...

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

You would have to print an adapter for the while ball part to screw to the tricktrucks. I'm sure Brian will have a solution next week too. I will try to get these part files up by Monday so you all can hack and mod. They will be found on our github here: https://github.com/seemecnc/Machine_Elements

Re: New Ball Cup arms available for Rostock MAX machines!

Now those pictures are geared toward a v3. And the hot end is prototyping stuff. Take a look at that hot end fan shroud JJ designed and printed. Pretty sweet looking eh. For a v2 installation, the new platform is installed upside down (black platform on top of white acetal ball part). And allows for...

And, when you are aware of everything, it can still bite you anyway.

Now we have this under control, let's all design Oly's idea for a hot end heated by open flame.

Re: Kit Mods & Safety & Awesomeness

The independent cut out relay circuit Gene mentions in conjunction with a resetting thermal fuse really looks like one of the best solutions. It could send a reset to the control as well as an 'all good' signal. Even cut all power to the machine. The advantage here is cutting power is independent of...

BTW, I put a dab of ointment in my eye to heal the poke wound obtained while reading your earlier post. I'm okay now. Great melted hot end pick cope413. And it's true, ...
