Re: Y axis belt rubbing against wood plate, fraying?

You might be able to loosen the belt and unscrew the stepper motor and pull it out.

Re: Y axis belt rubbing against wood plate, fraying?

It's not the easiest thing to do, but yes you can remove or adjust the pulley without disassembling the base.

This should help locate the setscrews from the outside.

Re: Prometheus Hot End: Customizable All Metal Hot End!

Obviously not printed with the Prometheus system, but the hotend is a Prometheus v2. I can't say enough good things about this hotend, it's been flawless from day one.

Don't mind the colors :) Just testing the Flappy bird with the colors already loaded.

Re: Y axis belt rubbing against wood plate, fraying?

Are you able to look at the pulley to see if it's offset or backwards?

5:1 should be about more torque vs speed. 1:5 would be faster. i think?

LOL, yea I started at 0700 with 215 views. It would take about 48 hours with my macro.

But, I've stopped. I don't wanna piss anyone off with the hammering non-stop.

Re: Smoothieboard question

Everything looks good in your config. I'm guessing it's the firmware or maybe delete the firmware and reload it. I changed those values I posted above to 50 and it definitely adjusts the bounce and retract after homing. Something else must be going on. Here is my config for the newest edge build kas...

Re: Smoothieboard question

Type version in your terminal window. Should look something like this:

Okay, well at least it's possible since smoothie has an I2C header. Hopefully the coding is something simple.

Re: Smoothieboard question

Try this

Code: Select all

alpha_homing_retract_mm         5                # retract/bounce distance after homing in mm
beta_homing_retract_mm          5                #
gamma_homing_retract_mm         5                #

Not that this is an elegant solution, but try this in your Post Processing command:

Code: Select all

{REPLACE "G1 E-2.0000 F2700" ""}

30min? ouch. Try covering the top with a folded towel, see if it will get to temp that way.
