Re: Easiest model to show off?

Wow, those Zumwalt designs are awesome! I will be definitely be printing some of those, probably a bit too late to have one ready for tomorrow though. Definitely thanks for sharing though!

Re: Whats the max Volume per second for stock extruder

If you're just looking for something to satisfy RH, start with 999 and work your way down if you think it's a problem later. :)

Easiest model to show off?

I'm going to a 3d print meetup tomorrow, taking my printer along so it can print during, and I'm looking for an impressive-looking model to print that is also unlikely to fail on me "in front of the audience" as it were. What are some good choices for models that I can demo printing? Ideal...

Re: Whats the max Volume per second for stock extruder

Jeez, talk about coincidence! I'm going to a 3d printer meetup tomorrow so tonight I'm figuring out how to really show off the machine, of course the easiest thing to do is crank up the speed! Well it's easy to make the effector move faster, but lo and behold as I just discovered, the extruder might...

Re: I have to get one of these!

Thank you Generic Default for making sense out of what it would take to make a real flying car, I knew the one I found on Utube had to be CGI. But wait, I just thought of something! They could use the anti-gravity generators that were found on the crashed UFO at Roswell and all the numbers go out t...

Re: Off-Center Nozzle during calibration

If I Z down using the control panel of the machine it goes to center, but not when I run the calibration script. I didn't think about the script thing, but this is happening when I use the on-board functions of the machine to drop the Z-height for calibration. So is it centered when you calibrate Z...

Re: Off-Center Nozzle during calibration

Well that looks pretty damn good! Are you totally, positively convinced that you've actually got a problem, and this isn't some trivial mistake like your script is actually sending your nozzle to 7,9,0 or something instead of 0,0,0? It's hard for me to tell from your pictures but just by me trying t...

Re: Feasibility question - cheapskate extension

I agree that longer arms is the best option, but those would be more difficult to print a solution for. Also the only aftermarket arms I'm aware of are the Trick Laser CF arms, and they're the same length as the stock ones. I've heard there are other options on eBay, but if it were me, I wouldn't wa...

Re: Off-Center Nozzle during calibration

To get rid of the slack introduced by the arm hole / u-joint pin fit, you can rubber band the delta arms together at both ends. That will probably require you to recalibrate your end stops and horizontal radius. I'm not positive but I think RH shows you the progress of the commands sent to the print...

Re: Feasibility question - cheapskate extension

That's a valid point, but I think if you're trying to reclaim the extra width, that means you're trying to print outside the golden triangle anyways.

Feasibility question - cheapskate extension

Let me start off by saying I'm happy with my printer's build volume but I understand there are others who aren't. For those people - how crazy of an idea is it to print out some extensions that sit between the cheapskate and the delta arm axle? I feel like moving the axle out by a few cm would help ...

Hard to tell, but it looks like you might be overextruding. The new material has nowhere to go so it pushes the old material up and off the platform.

Re: i want to print for money

I've never been "told" by the website what I'd be charging. Ok... I found your listing and uploaded a random part. The site was quite happy to suggest a price and ask for payment information, and it wasn't obvious to me that it would be just an estimate and that you'd come back with the r...

Re: i want to print for money

So do you have a disclaimer on your profile then that says "initial price is an estimate only" or something? Here are the pricing options, I think they added more since the last time I looked, but it's still not very powerful. Just a straight $/cm3 number. I'd prefer to charge a setup+time...

I've practically forgotten about it. I also remember not liking their pricing struct...

Re: i want to print for money

Yeah I found your hub earlier and poked around a bit. Your hub certainly has a very professional polish and I'm sure that's a significant factor, but also rates in your area seem to be about twice what they are in mine! I wonder if that's a function of supply and demand? Or rather, supply and lack o...
