Re: Mhackney's Rostock Max

You could also increase the current. I set mine from 175 to 222. (Only for the extruder.)

Re: Power Supply - low power output - bad Onyx heating

I continued investigating and found an error in my thinking. (So I changed the subject of the thread a bit..) (I came to this, because I switched on the onyx and hotend at the same time, and saw, that the power supply could deliver much more.) mhackney told me the resistance of his onyx and it is 1....

Re: Bed leveling

Got mine also calibrated to "0.02mm". Thank you. I had to change the additional offset in DELTA_RADIUS from +0.63 to -0.15 . I glued my heatbed to the supporting plate, and I think it helped a lot in keeping it even. (And probably caused, that I can not heat it to more then 70°C..) (I also...

Very bad Onyx heating (max 80°C)

Hi! The Viotek 450W, which was delivered with my RostockMax, has written on it's data plate "12V - 22A", but it delivers only about 10A. It takes about 45min until the Onyx heated bed (ok, it's center..) reaches 80°C with the glass plate on top. 80°C is more or less the asymptote. I alread...

It worked, thank you.

Is Tools -> Programmer -> AVRISP mkII the right one?

For two other (maybe small) problems I wrote to the 'official' Repetier support forum: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?267,186600

Re: Rostock Switch upgrade

theverant wrote:That's a neat switch, how does it work, and where did you get it from?

It's an A01-ES with A01-50B from http://www.apem.com

theverant wrote:are you bringing 12V straight from the power supply and just turning them on/off with the old switch?

Correct.

Yes, I switch the green wire to the power supply.

Re: Mhackney's Rostock Max

I'm glad it worked out for you.

Is there any reason, why I shouldn't use the two remaining wires of the 4 conductor 18ga wire for the thermistor? (I'm not going to add a second hotend or LEDs.)

I'm not sure with this, but I think you have to hook up your hotend thermistor.

@SeeMeCNC: The hole for the SD-Card-Holder is a tiny bit to small, because of the soldering. Anyway, a file can solve the problem :)

Hello jdh,

thank you also for this topic. I think it will be very useful for everybody!

Can you upload the pictures with a higher resolution? Maybe we can better see how the "bushing washer 3mm" looks like :)

Thank you!

Kind regards,
