Re: Frustrated! Issues with vertical dimensional accuracy and layer shifting on first 5mm of layers

I would check to make sure that you don't have a loose drive gear, or a carriage that is dragging - maybe a failed bearing?

dc42, to my knowledge, SeeMeCNC has never supplied steel core belts, but it's interesting to know that's a failure mode of that belt type.

tnx.

Re: Hotend Heating but Thermistor shows ambient temperature

I would contact support on this one. When you unplugged the thermistor, it should've gone to "def" right away. Could you have accidentally plugged it into the bed thermistor connector by chance?

tnx.

I abhor the idea of renting software. :)

For a great stand-alone CAM program, you should take a peek at EstlCAM. I discovered it during my research into building an MPCNC machine (which is /finally/ built).

Re: Need a Free SOLIDWORKS Trial?

If you're a veteran, you can get SolidWorks incredibly cheaply (if memory serves, under $100). However, spammy resellers probably don't want you to know that kind of thing. :)

Re: Max v2 HE280 upgraded - bed leveling gcode?

Ah, ok. The v3probing.gcode is incorporated into the firmware now. You just need to run the "Full Calibration" off the Advanced menu. After that finishes you can do the 10 point calibration if you need to.

Re: Max v2 HE280 upgraded - bed leveling gcode?

If you have an HE280 equipped v2, the only thing you need to do is run the calibration from the front panel. I've never used any kind of script like the one you show.

Re: Max v2 HE280 upgraded - bed leveling gcode?

With the HE280, you only need to do a G29 for a basic leveling, and then you can go here: https://www.seemecnc.com/pages/delta-calibration-wizard to finish the process. If you're using OctoPrint, you can use my plugin to do that automatically. You can get that here: https://github.com/geneb/OctoPrin...

Re: Rostock v2 with probe keeps rebooting fw.92.2

Don't check wires with them connected on either end. You can get false readings. If you still have problems, you might want to contact support.

Re: Rostock v2 with probe keeps rebooting fw.92.2

Chances are pretty high that it's a wiring error that's preventing communication with the HE280. Make sure that the connector is fully seated in the HE280 and that the pins are fully seated in the shell.

Re: Rostock v2 with probe keeps rebooting fw.92.2

Does the board reboot continuously if the HE280 connector is disconnected? Also, did you use Arduino 1.6.0 to compile the firmware? If not, you need to. That's the only version that can generate a working firmware image.

Re: Anyone used the repetier.com firmware configuration tool?

Just be aware that if you've got an HE280 hot end, the only firmware that supports the auto-calibration feature is SeeMeCNC's fork of Repetier firmware.

Re: control knob stopped working.

You might have a short in the I2C wiring to the hot end. Try unplugging the connector from the hot end PCB and power up the Orion. Does the LCD function properly? It may also be that the connector isn't fully seated.

Home the machine and subtract 1mm from the Z height shown in the Duet display. That's a reasonable figure to use for max printing height.
