@Holy1 I don't like cats much, but hey, I wanna see what you did on your cartesian !

@Tincho85, there is a way : in your profile settings, you can set your board style under the "board preference" tab.

Re: PEI Print Surface How To - recap

Michael :) long time no talk haha.. anyway, i am finding more and more (after re ordering this adhesive 5-6 times) that i can not reliably get it off the sheet, or the tape (1") without massive bubbling or globbing. it always happens, without fail. Is there any tips you use? I can usually get ...

Re: Kraken thread

I did not try much 2 color printing with my Kraken. I am actually printing with one nozzle at a time. But I have been printing a 2 colors street cone, that looked well, apart from the fact the nozzles were not exactly aligned (maybe 0.5mm off). BUT, a street cone, is only switching from one color to...

Re: 3D App used ?

I don't think many here use Wings3D, but after trying half a dozen, this is still my favorite design tool. When I need more CAD oriented tool, I use OnShape for now. I recently gave a better try to freeCAD, and I still don't like the interface much, but well, I understand it a bit better than before...

Re: Variables are not variable

(...) Do yourself a favor and check out either DesignSpark Mechanical or FreeCAD. g. Well, I had a closer look at Freecad, and realized that it can be entirely controlled using Python scripting. I might give a closer look to that, because if it is what I imagine it is, then possibilities are endles...

Re: Variables are not variable

One non-intuitive use of OpenSCAD (which I have not explored personally) is the ability to generate code for it algorithmically. So, write some code in Java or something which has nice loops and variables, and inside the loop write out your .scad file line-by-line. It won't be the most elegant .sca...

Re: Variables are not variable

How algo should act if stones should be between 20 and 20 both dimensions, and wall dimension should be 45x45? What if wall should be 19x19? 19x20? What about third dimension? OpenSCAD is a nice programming language masquerading as an even nicer design tool. Do yourself a favor and don't check ou...

Re: Horizontal Banding, or Z-Ribbing investigated. [SOLVED!]

I had to do the same on my V1 after I added a fan blowing on my Rambo board to cool the stepper drivers down. The problem was however not intermittent, and did not cause any printing artifacts... just that my bed temp readings were not realistic.

Re: Variables are not variable

What I'm trying to do is something like that, within a loop, on a if condition : variable = variable +1; Can you give an example of what you are trying to model that you want to use this if statement? It could be it's impossible with an if statement but it may be possible another way. I have progra...

Re: Variables are not variable

OpenScad is a different kind of programming language than typical and I always have to re-calibrate my brain every time I need to program in it. That being said there are ways to get variable type behavior out of it, it just isn't going to be in a way that feels natural. The best way I think to see...

Variables are not variable

Hi, I am a programmer and in that respect wanted to give a try to Openscad. I spent about 1 day programming different objects in order to get used to it. I faced a problem while using it : Variables are set at compile, not at run time. In other words, you cannot change the value of a variable within...

1st : Place something above your glass to protect it and prevent it from being damaged. How can I calibrate the glass if I place something on top of it? If you protect the glass, you can search without worrying how to set the parameters in order to avoid slamming the head into the bed. Because, if ...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

EEPROM parameters in Marlin are different.
I would thus say you can't use it with Mariln firmware "as is". But if you can establish the link between repetier EEPROM params and Marlin EEPROM Params, why not using it... in manual mode.

Re: Repetier firmware 0.92.8

Use the json to generate the full firmware through the config generator on repetier website. EDIT : I believe there is a short section at begining of configuration.h that is not impacted by the config tool, this section gives the currents for your steppers, and the precision to use. By default preci...

Hi HumanLiberty, Thanks for your suggestion. I'll try it out later when I get home. However, I don't think that I'm having the same problem. I can read/write EEPROM using OpenDACT and can even send commands using the send command button. However, when I hit calibrate, the only thing that happens is...

I feel like there is some confusion in what has been said here. I'm sorry if I repeat what has been already said, or if it's not really the subject of the thread, but I believe I need to intervene. FSRs are like weigthing scales. When you depress on a scale, the displayed value changes. When you dep...

Do you get the same result independently of the slicer you use ?

If yes, it is a printer (hardware/firmware/calibration) issue, if no, it is a slicer issue.

Re: Help setting up FSR on Maxv2 /Rambo

It has nothing to do (at least, not much) with weight (actually, mass), the FSRs measure force. The applied weight on the bed changes the force read at the FSR level. However, what the interface board does, is to trigger a signal when there is a positive difference on the force applied onto one of ...
