Re: Base fan upgrade for quietness

WINNER! Just replaced the base fans in two V3s with same, Noctua NF A6x25 fans. Used the 4-pin adaptor; took connector apart to maximize wire length. Be gentle. NOW, Noticeable buzzing noise (from my CPU mini-fan / SO annoying) ... because, the base fan is now SO quiet! Noctua is moving lots of air....

Re: V3 conversion to WASP LDM Clay extruder process

JohnSL board wasn't talking to Duet because of 3.3v and +/- (two outer wires on 3pos trinket connector from kit) going to the wrong pins on the Duet. Once this was corrected the FSRs talked to the Duet perfectly . The old SE280 accelerometer calibration, which was a huge leap a couple years ago, is ...

Wow, the FSRs are amazingly sensitive in auto calibration.
and,
I still can't figure out why the stepper movements are so quiet with the Duet; it's weird(in a good way)

Re: V3 conversion to WASP LDM Clay extruder process

Everything is working except for the FSR to Duet recognition. No matter what I try the Duet just doesn't recognize signals from the JohnSL. Sensitivity for the FSRs is awesome, triggers with a light finger touch on the deck, but Duet is just dumb to it. I'll post again once we get this figured out, ...

YES G! I edited the original post, let me know if you can make sense of it. I'm thinking there's some config like M581: Configure external trigger or M585: Probe Tool (?) that I need to mess with to have the Z-probe get initialized? FWIW, I'm also pinging the Duet3D guys to see what comes up

What I should say is
M563 P0 D0 S"LDM_01" engaged the stepper(wiring was all fine from the start) and
enabled the controls via Duet GUI:

FSR connection to DUET 2 WiFi no workie - config?

My FSR trinket isn't talking to the DUET2 WiFi. JohnSL board and FSRs all signal properly;using my finger lightly on the build plate the trinket red LEDs light up correctly/individually/averaged depending on pressure location. Should I see anything blinking on the DUET board, or see the Z-probe GUI ...

DUET WiFi E0 / E1 no workie - config?

RMAX V3 DUET WiFi 2.02 firmware XYZ + endstops/homing all work perfectly PREFACE, I did fudge with the config, adjusted steps to 80, and deleted anything heated/thermistors, bed, and hot-end. Could I have derped it? Ya betcha. The BIG DEALio (fail): The extruder stepper itself is connected to the E0...

V3.2 Duet access port model file?

Do these Duet cover panel and access 'port/window' models live anywhere on the github archives as .stl/other? V3 to 3.2 : DUET v. SMCNC connectors?

SMCNC sold out on DUETs so I shopped elsewhere. DUET connectors are warned against in V3.2 assembly walkthrough: When inserting the wires in the white Molex KK connectors, make sure you're using the connectors we sent you in the kit, NOT the ones included in the Duet box! I'm guessing this is becaus...

Stepper wiring mismatch?

I've got OEM steppers from a V3 kit, and one new one attached to an extruder. 1) want to control them all properly via DUET WiFi board. 2) need to attach a connector to the wires on the new one; wire colors don't match SO, I opened them up to compare wiring + main gear. They look the same, just slig...

Dual extrusion feed kits V3/V4

I have the complete dual filament feed kit for a V3 . Want to use it on a V4. Is the Y splitter and the EZR the same for the V4/SE300? I realize there may be a 0.9 stepper/s on the V4. Can the V3 EZR 1.8 stepper be used by changing a line in the DUET .config to 80(but uniquely/isolated from any othe...

Re: v3.2 Stepper Motor upgrade?

Thanks for the response. Really looking forward to the Duets! Glad to hear the code/.config side is friendlier than the RAMBo(and has a large, contributing user base). Looks like the right move all around, and as long as my original steppers hang in there, a reasonably economical solution to level u...

But wait, let's get this straight as I'm shortly modding my V3s to DUET boards, quote: When I updated my v3 to 3.2, I didn't change the motors . It's not a requirement, just a "nice to have". Keep in mind that if you don't change the stepper motors, you'll need to tweak the config.g file for the Due...
