Re: First batch of Artemis is out the door.

Glad you're up and running. I'm going to add some documentation to have people check that when they are unpacking their printer.

Re: Delta Calibration Wizard now online

The "Calculate new values" box is a javascript link. It won't work unless you've filled in all the boxes properly. Also, make sure you don't have an add or script blocker installed on your browser that's preventing the javascript from running.

Re: Auto calibration g29 sometimes crashing into bed

Depends on where in your starting gcode it is. You can't run either of the heaters when you're using the probe as the pwm signals interfere with it a lot. I'm guessing at least one of the heaters is active when you're probing. Can you post your starting gcode?

Re: Artemis - Build Notes

Just have to put my $0.02 in here. Our test print benchy was sliced with the Cura version we recommend and the Cura profiles we provide. Setup correctly, Cura makes great prints. I've got new profiles and the procedure to get around the bugs in 3.1 on deck, just need time to finish them up. Look for...

Re: Hot or Cold Auto-Calibration

I'm late to the party with this answer, but I did a bunch of testing and didn't find any significant amount of difference between hot and cold calibration. I calibrate with everything cold and haven't noticed any high or low spots. I did notice that if you heat soak the bed at a high temp (100+), ev...

Re: Calibration Tower Probe Crash

What version of the firmware (what date, actually) are you running? If you're not running the latest, I'd clear the EEProm and update before anything else. Assuming that doesn't fix it or you're already on the latest version, can you post the log from the terminal when it's doing this?

I'd try printing the same gcode from a fresh SD card without the usb plugged in, just to knock down some variables.

On a 32 bit board you won't be running Repetier. Running DC42's Reprap on a Duet has no problem doing dual extrusion.

Afraid not - there's just not enough memory on an 8 bit board to do all the things Repetier is doing.

Re: End stop adjustment?

Yup. It gets to do a bunch of math. If your first layer is looking good, stop there. If you've got high/low spots you want to iron out, you can make it go away with some more math, just follow the instructions here: https://www.seemecnc.com/pages/delta-calibration-wizard

Re: End stop adjustment?

If you've got a V3, you don't need to adjust the endstop screws - the automatic calibration takes care of all that. It'll tell you if they are too far out of whack and needs to be manually adjusted.

Wow. Off the top of my head I can't imagine what in the wiring would make it run fine at high speed but screw up at low speed. Bad solder joint with a higher than normal resistance? Either way, I'm glad you're up and running! Sorry that you had a rocky road to get there. We'll be in touch when we're...

Re: Ros tock V3 heated bed not getting hot enough

Brian,

You can safely crank that voltage up to 14V. That'll give the bed more power to play with and might get you up to 100 degrees. I'd try that before anything else.

First batch of Artemis is out the door.

We just finished shipping the first batch of Artemis, including the first RTP! Now we get to build up the parts and pieces to go for the next round. Guess I'd better finish the setup manual today before everyone starts building... it doesn't take much time to slap one together.

If you've got an HE280, follow these instructions: https://seemecnc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217525946-HE280-Not-Consistently-Extruding-Filament-JAM If it's the original hot end, I'm betting the heatsink fan isn't running. And they're mostly to line everything up to make assembly easier - the Aluminum plates under them carry the real load and stiffen up the frame. The Artemis is a tank.

Also check the connector on the rambo to make sure it's well tightened down. If it's come loose at all that will cause it to eventually melt down.

Make sure the you've got a high enough temperature on the hot end to extrude. 92.2 won't run the extruders if the hot end is less than 150 degrees.

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate

Tweak you're Z probe offset and re-probe. I'd start with knocking .1 off of your current value and go from there. Change your G31 line in your config.g to:

G31 X0 Y0 Z-.53

Run that, then G32, then see if it's still dragging.
