Re: Newer Arduino versions that work?

Yes, all good reasons. Just need a push to spend the money at the moment. I can still build the source fine, just can't connect to the board with the IDE. I have to admit that I when trying to get dual extrusion with the Y adapter I spent so much time uploading firmware that I almost bought the duet...

Re: Newer Arduino versions that work?

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I'll try the latest version of Repetier. If not I'll compile in 1.6.0 and look alternate routes to upload the he file. It's the avrdude built into the older Arduino ide that's broke. Was almost thinking that I finally got my good excuse to get a duet board. Than...

Newer Arduino versions that work?

My system has changed and can't use 1.6.0 or 1.6.11 due to a dependency on libreadline 6. Tried using 1.8.x and that doesn't work at all.

Can firmware be upgraded to a point where the new compilers work? I'm trying to avoid having an OS just for this

Thanks

Re: Dual Filament adapter with an E3D v6 Hotend

So I drilled one of the heat breaks out to .081 inch, it left a good finish. That mostly eliminated the issue with pla developing a thick stop on the end. Still having horrible issues with strings. If you all hadn't gotten this working, I'd be sure it's impossible The pulling out further seems to wo...

Re: Dual Filament adapter with an E3D v6 Hotend

I've been having great difficulty getting this to work right. First off is that pla refuses to reliably feed back into the the heat break. I often get a thick spot on the end that has no chance of going through the heat break. I've tried and sometimes it is impossible to even pull it back through a ...

Re: Y-adapter and setting hotend temps

Yes on the newest firmware...
I figured that changing back and fourth 20 degrees or so would happen easy enough. Unless it's too low for the new material to flow.

Just seems odd that you can trick it into remembering separate values and t0 and t1 calls handle it.

Thanks for the help

Y-adapter and setting hotend temps

I'm on a V2, but being the y-adapter kit is for the V3 and everything else is equal, I'm posting it here. I can set the temp on the machine and then shut the other extruder off. At this point switching between T0 and T1 sets the active called temp to the value for that extruder. switched back and fo...

Re: setting up Slic3r for dual extrusion with shared hotend

So I think I've discovered something I didn't expect. I guess I should have. It looks like you are fine to set a separate temp for each extruder and the firmware handles switching the temp depending on the T# call out. Haven't gotten to test it out extensively yet, but a quick tests shows that behav...

setting up Slic3r for dual extrusion with shared hotend

I don't see anyway to set this up in the current dev version. Anyone know of a work around? A quick look at Cura leads me to think it has the same issue.

Thanks

Re: Dual extruder upgrade for v2

Just to let know that I found what was the problem. Arduino IDE version. Had to revert from version 1.8.3 back to 1.6.0. Everything is working smoothly. Now I only have to fine tune parameters for ABS. Thanks for this. Been having the same problem for a couple days. I reverted from 1.6.11 to 1.6.0 ...

Firmware upgrade 91 to 92.2 couple issues and questions

So about a year ago I upgraded to the e3d v6 after the stock hotend burnt up on me. I finally decided to print some higher temp stuff. And realized I must have missed changing the max temp. So I'm planning on doing the dual extruder soon anyway, so I decided to update the firmware. After an initial ...

Accessing eprom without mattercontrol

Is there a way. The linux build of mattercontrol is a problem on my system and I removed it. Is there a way without installing it or booting into windows? Just got my e3d head.

Thanks

Re: Rostock Max Hollow Calibration Pyramid Challenge!

After fighting with matter control for over a month I switched to slic3r. 3 days in here are my results. Left matter slice, right stand alone slic3r. I switched because MS would only retract randomly, and was always dragging the nozzle across parts.

Re: Hot end initial calibration.

Not to ask a stupid question, but are you writing the values to the eprom?
