Re: Must have parts for Accelerometer upgrade?

How'd it turn out Harblar? I just got the upgrade kit too, after an ordeal and non-usage story much like yours. I didn't want to replace my hardly-used prometheus, so got the adapter from Tricklaser and just started the upgrade. BTW, did you see in the instructions a reference to "Fan 0", ...

Re: E3D v6 jams and other issues

Hey guys - is this an E3D Party only, or can anybody join I'm having a very similar problem with PLA and my Prometheus v2. Dionysus480 - any luck recently? Let me offer you this silver lining: the fact that it jams fast if it's going to at all is a relative blessing. I'm jamming 2-hours into an 11-h...

Re: Help with autocalibration using FSR sensors and Duet board

shodapublicity - Congrats on solving this. I'v been having a very similar problem, and had pretty much given up on my FSRs and gone back to turning bloody screws, and sliding around MFn paper. You've given me hope. Would you mind sharing the configurations you're using? I'm still using the original ...

Re: Auto-calibration options using FSRs?

Ccavanaugh - good question. No jumper. My FSR kit didn't come with any documentation - had to figure it out from whatever I could find online - I think there was something in these forums. Jumpers were mentioned, but didn't appear applicable to me at the time. So no, they're default is open, I belie...

Yes, I had that problem at fist too - ultimately fixed it by upgrading to tricklaser's 325mm CF arms.

Auto-calibration options using FSRs?

I installed FSRs on my Max v2 some time ago with the intention of using RollyRowland's OpenDACT auto-calibration software. Though the FSRs all trigger correctly and I was able to implement commands on the printer via the software, The FSRs' signal never had an effect ad the nozzle would always crash...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

Thanks terabyte! Doesn't 626Pilot's script require a smoothi instead of RAMBo? Re modifying the g-code - man, I have no clue how to go about figuring out those coordinates or modifying the g-code, and i have to admit, the prospect of learning seems pretty daunting. Perhaps there's not other way. Do...

Re: Why isn't horizontal radius calibrated this way?

Duet with FSRs make the whole manual calibration thing a moot point! It takes more than just the probing system, the calibration code also needs to perform fast and well. To date, RRF is the only firmware I've found that calibrates accurately in less than 30 seconds - including probe time. An accel...

I'm glad the issue seems to have fixed itself for you. If you figure out how it happened, please let me know. Were you able to get a very accurate calibration with it, all the way out the edge of the bed?

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

Thanks Gene - I'll try that. Let me ask your input on an ongoing problem. Currently, OpenDACT runs Checl Current Height and Calibrate floating about 1-2 cm above the plate, and does not fire the FSRs. If I calibrate Z-height to where the FSRs are firing, OpenDACT crashes the nozzle into the plate, f...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

Update: With Rollierowland's help above and suggestion to try Arduino IDE 1.6.5, and having set Z Position to where the nozzle is firing the FSRs, both "Calibrate" and "Check Current Heights" will now lower the nozzle to touch the bed and fire the FSRs. Now the problem is, they a...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

I was having a similar issue which resolved when I uninstalled the most recent Arduino IDE (1.6.7) and replaced it with an early version (1.0.6).
The guy who suggested that in the Arduino forum said there are significant known problems interfacing 1.6.7 and windows10.

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

Yes that's what's happening. So how should the z-probing settings be set up? And where is onhigh located within the firmware and/or how do you switch it on the controller? I manually searched every tab in the repetier/Arduino firmware, but nothing popped.

Re: PC Can't Connect to Printer - Mac can

Thanks everyone. Drivers were up to date, and Mattercontol would not connect to the printer from Windows.

I posted this issue on the Arduino Forum.
The solution ended up being to install IDE v1.0.6, rather than the most recent 1.6.7. I then aligned it and the RAMBo onto COM1 - Solved!

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

So Gene fixed the connection problem with a baud-rate change - but now once connected, OpenDACT is unresponsive - "calibrate"does nothing, nor do any other functions, including read/write to EEPROM. I've tried restarting the application, printer and computer multiple times, to no avail. Ro...

@Captain Starfish/Patrick - thanks power cycling actually did help Repetier connect, thought is still wouldn't actually do anything. @terabyte - thanks for the heads up on those OpenDACT idiosyncrasies. I had OK results with manual tweaks too, but not good enough to print the 4" tall part I nee...

COM1 and 3 both appear in Device manager and are reported to be functioning properly.
Repetier Host can't connect with either of them - it just searches/attempts indefinitely.

Re: PC Can't Connect to Printer - Mac can

Thanks Gene - it connected! But get this: 1st try it connected immediately upon switching baud. Second time it said "COM1 access denied" but worked on COM3 - nothing had changed I just had close and opened ODACT accidentally. But in both cases, although it did connect, hitting "Calibr...
