Re: Rostock Max v2 tablet mod

Just happen to come by this thread again and seen a reply! The tablet is just displaying the Duet web interface. You would still have to go to the Gcode Files tab and upload the file to the Duet proper, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Assuming the browser you are using is capable of uploading ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 tablet mod

The only buttons I have a issue with are the macro buttons. They are not quite tall enough. I think I might dig into the CSS tonight and make them a tad taller. Everything else is a good size and in general easy to operate via touch. Initially the screen elements where correctly sized, but the font ...

Rostock Max v2 tablet mod

Since upgrading my v2 to a Duet Wifi I had really been missing having a display on the front of the printer. So I decided to do something about it! However I really didn't want to pay ~$100 for the PanelDue, and I also don't really care for the PanelDue interface. So, I decided to take a cheap 7&quo...

Re: Extruder Temp Drops upon starting Print

I started to have this problem after a few months as well. Turned out to be one of the heating resistors going south. Removed both resistors, installed a single 40 watt heater cartridge, and haven't looked back. The cartridge heats up considerably faster than the resistors ever did and maintains tem...

Re: A few issues...

Moved the arms around, no difference other than I had to calibrate again.

Problem remains in the same position.

Also cannot see any noticeable bend on any of the towers.

Re: A few issues...

I don't have any dampers installed. So its not that, at least on mine anyways.

Re: A few issues...

Well crap, that didn't fix it. Still doing the same exact thing. Printed the same object as in my first post. Same results. The right side (towards the Y tower) measures almost spot on, 6.08mm wide while the left side towards the X tower is 6.6mm wide. The height and length of the object is spot on ...

Re: A few issues...

Sorry to resurrect a old thread, but I think I figured out my problem! And boy do I feel stupid... Can you spot the problem here? (this is on the Y tower) IMG_20150708_221032284.jpg Yeah.... Built the printer almost a year ago now. Have went over it countless times, and never once did I notic...

Re: A few issues...

Are you sure that you calibrated your cold extruder so that when it is supposed to output a known amount it actually does? Same here... Have done it multiple times. I recently started over entirely from scratch; cleared the EPROM settings, reflashed the current SeeMeCNC Repitier build. Re-checked t...

Re: Faster Heated Bed

Have you just tried using a better ATX PSU first? On my v2 with the stock power supply it took almost 15 minutes for the bed to reach 90. I switched it out for a nice Corsair CX750M rated for 60A on its single 12v rail. Bed now gets to 90 in less than 5 minutes. It seems to me the stock PSU just isn...

Re: A few issues...

I finally got a chance to try different slicers, same issue. It is exactly the same. It has got to be something mechanical, but I am not sure what. All the belts are adjusted well, the cheapskates are adjusted well. All the u-joints move freely. etc.. The issue appears to be either at or between the...

A few issues...

Rostock Max v2, with Rev 6 heated bed. Purchased August 2014 As I have tried to start printing out things with fit together parts I have noticed nothing is dimensionally accurate. Up until now I've just dealt with it. Que massive amounts of sanding and filing to make parts fit together... I have tri...

Re: V2 hot end problems...

I have a 40 watt heater cartridge I had ordered when I first got the printer... post office lost it for a few weeks, so I just went ahead and assembled the hotend stock. Looks like I'll be switching to that then :D

V2 hot end problems...

Back a few months ago when I first got my V2 I added 2 additional layer fans. I have always been able to run these at 100% while printing with zero issues with the hot-end having no trouble staying at set temp. Even with the fans at 100%, the hot end has always averaged about 70% output (according t...
