Re: Smoothieboard + Dual Extruders. :-)

Hi 626pilot, thanks for that configuration it makes a lot of sense. I'll be using it with your branch of smoothie once I get a chance to install the new board, I'm just reading through the thread front to back to make sure I haven't missed anything. There's a lot of work in what you have done with s...

Re: Smoothieboard + Dual Extruders. :-)

Hi Gestalt, Thanks mate that's exactly the info I was hoping to get! I haven't got a cyclops yet I will just be playing around with the upsilon type widgets on my e3d v6 to start with and upgrade once I feel comfortable with the system but you hit the nail on the head. So that the slicer doesn't swi...

Re: The cheapest (usable) filament option for Australia?

I think the cheapest way to get ok quality filament would be as others have mentioned by buying a filastruder or filabot or whatever and making it yourself, I think you can get it as cheap as $5 a kilo then for decent plastic. I have pondered this myself but to be honest I would rather just pay dood...

Re: Smoothieboard + Dual Extruders. :-)

Does anyone know how I would set up smoothie for dual extruders on a single hotend? Do I just not activate hotend 2 temp control module in the config or do I enable it and designate the same pins defined as the first one? Any advice would be great...

Wow 626 and the others you are doing some awesome work!! Finally read the entire thread and thought I would just add that I too am having the same issues and have rebuilt, re-squared, rechecked, replaced arms on this machine so many times its not funny so it looks like I will get a smoothieboard so ...

Re: MAX V2 stop working any time he want

Ok if you select the file it should automatically set the temp and start heating for you and then it will start printing once it has got to the right temp. What slicer are you using, sometimes depending on slicer for some reason it doesnt set the temps they just remain zero so you have to have your ...

Re: Bed adhesion trick for cheap high gloss finish.

Hey Generic, thanks for reporting back, that's great to hear! I will give the microwave a go now and see if it helps to dissolve the glue a bit more as mine still has a few chunks... I am wondering if you put it on a bit thinner if it would pull off any glue at all? Mine very rarely takes any glue o...

Re: MAX V2 stop working any time he want

Hi, Does it switch off completely ie no power at all or is it still powered on but just stops moving? Does it reset itself when it stops and is it running tethered to the computer or from SD card? If it stays on after it stops is the hotend fan still running and does it keep the bed and hotend heate...

Re: Bed adhesion trick for cheap high gloss finish.

Hi, OK i'll try answer the questions as best I can.. Firstly @ Jfettig, I haven't printed out as far as the edge of the bed yet using this method but I cant see why it wouldn't work... I will try in the next few days and do the calibration circle and see how it goes. It is not so super duper that it...

Bed adhesion trick for cheap high gloss finish.

Uneven or rough bottom surfaces on your parts, parts that don't stay stuck or release the way you like or messy first layers... if like me this frustrates the hell out of you then read on... Last week I decided to try a few things to get the surface finish on the bottom of my parts smooth and high g...

Looks great, will be interesting to see how you go with the enclosure. The cheapskate clips are a cool idea, I can't see though, do they replace the original clips or just sit over the top of them to stop snagging?

Re: E3D V6 with External Thermocoupler

I don't know if this helps but from what I can work out each version of the Rambo is different. For example I have version 1.3L and I already have an Analog-EXT header on the board from the factory. You can see in the pictures below how I have +5v to pin1, ground to pin2 and Signal to pin7 PK0. Afte...

That is cool, ill give that a go today lol, sure beats the series of beeps at the end lol :) Now there just needs to be a feature in repetier-host to convert mp3's to G-Code. ;)

Re: Easily adjustable belt tensioners for Rostock Max V2???

Thanks!! Just fit a set of the v27 tensioners today and they're working great. Might change the design up a bit to have the thumb screws the other way up so I can use allen head bolts and tighten them up properly with the top plate off. Will post back once I play around in solidworks a bit. :)

Re: print multiple (duplicate) items, how to do one by one?

I am facing the same issue but it looks like it's slic3r and repetier not talking properly, apparently it works if you open slic3r separately and just slice in that not via repetier... I'll try it later and let you know if it works... Here's the GitHub link to the issue:
