Re: 3D Printed High Heels

Hello! Sorry for my late feedback - I was the whole week on a business trip. Thanks for your comments! I try to answer you questions: Is that heel strong enough? Real life testing is still open, but I hope for the best I'll give you an update, when I got the test results. And is the shoe flexible en...

3D Printed High Heels

Hi! I'd like to show you my latest project: Custom 3D Printed High Heels for my wife! At the beginning I tried to design the high heels from scratch, but figured out fast, that it is quite complicate to model such a complex 3D-shape like a shoe, without any template. So I took an old good fitting hi...

The heat could make it go soft or distort.

Re: Prometheus Hot End v2 Build

My configuration for printing ABS with a 0,4m nozzle is the following: Cold Zone 2,5mm Transition Zone Heater Block Hex Nut Hex Nut http://abload.de/img/wp_20151205_14_09_18_nesqd.jpg I use 1,5mm retraction @60mm/s. I print up to 100mm/s (but usually slower). I use the stock extruder of Rmax V1 with...

Just install a Prometheus V2 and be happy ;)

Got from 3mm to 1mm retraction, with my 100mm Bowden-Setup.

(This is what I did recently)

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available

Not sure if I remember right, was it version 91, where it should be possible to tune the Z-Position on the fly (while printing)?
How is this supposed to work? (I could not really find a menu entry for it..)
Thx!

Re: The "Flying Extruder" Mod

Totally! The rubber band solution was working great at the beginning, but they wore out over time, so I upgraded to the counterweight solution. DSCF1004.jpg DSCF1003.jpg A plastic coated metal string is running over two ball bearing down to a moving weight. The extruder is now really "flying&qu...

Re: Kapton + Hair Spray

I'm serious!

I tried hairspray, kapton and ABS glue, but this worked best for me.

Parts popp off at around 70°C. Heatbed can be cleaned with water from time to time.

For me the best is still: 2/3 beer + 1/3 isopropyl alcohol :)
Heatbed at 120°C.

Durable Jeans?

Hi! One year ago I was in San Francisco and bought 4 Levis jeans (for a good price). Today, 3 of them have holes at strategic inadequate positions. Very bad quality. In 1 month I'll be in Washington DC and because jeans (clothing in general?) are in Europe much more expensive, I plan to buy some new...

I think it's warped now. I was missing 3DOF at the calibration variables, so I added them in hardware ;)
Probably not the most elegant solution but it's working...

Could be too little current or overheating of the stepper driver as well. -> Missing steps.

Re: Why oh why can't I get ABS to stick?!

Try 2/3 beer and 1/3 Isopropyl alcohol.
My parts stick quite good! (Also my bedtemp is 120°C [24V power supply])
Other advantages: Easy cleaning with water, skincontact is no problem ...and it smells good ;)

Re: Hello from Germany

Probably better to speak Englisch Yes, PLA is less stable then ABS but ABS shrinks more, so it is not so good for large prints. I live now 3km north of Schweinfurt. I have a RMax of the first Indiegogo-Genereation but with some modifications (http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1289" ...

Re: Adjusting Tower Rotation with Alpha A/B/C in EEPROM?

Hello! With some calibration I was able to even out my calibration problems. Now I have: X: = Y: = Z: = Centre: = X to Y: = v = Y to Z: = v = Z to X: = v = This means: Everything levelled, except constant dips of around 0.2mm between the towers.
