Re: Is the G32 command working properly in H2 firmware?

Calibration on the H2 should be done via the front panel as it shows in the docs.

Re: HE280 I2c and end-stop issues

If the RAMBo appears dead when the end-stops are plugged in, they're wired incorrectly and shorting out the power supply.

Re: MatterControl: Extruder only moves incrementally

You can continue to use MC for calibration, etc. but I'd use Cura for slicing. Just print via the SD card.

As far as the extruder goes, I don't think you've got a hardware or firmware issue - I would suspect MC doing weirdness. Can you try an older version?

Re: MatterControl: Extruder only moves incrementally

Cura is primarily a slicing tool. It only offers machine control for UltiMaker (and maybe some others) printers. You slice your model in Cura and save it to the SD card, and then print from that. Printing from USB isn't recommended anyway - as soon as your computer goes to sleep, there goes your pri...

Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

I should have thought of this earlier - start heating both the bed and the hot end and then check the voltage coming out of the power supply. You can use the terminal screws for the RAMBo input power as your test points. If you see anything less than around 11.5-ish, you've got a power supply proble...

What temp are you setting? How close does it get? Have you contacted support about this?

Re: Not sure what setting is causing these errors

You should tell S3D to lift the nozzle on travel moves. I'm not sure what effect the z-offset you have actually has.

It also appears that you're printing at too high a temp - are the cooling fans running during the print?

Unless you've got a specific requirement for the properties of ABS, you might be better off working with PLA. It's a lot more friendly to newcomers.

Re: CURA

The only network connectivity that I'm aware of is provided by plug-ins like the one that allows you to send print jobs straight from Cura to Duet-equipped printers. There's no monitoring feature though - it would be kind of silly in the face of what you get out of the default web interface on the D...

That feature is only for printers that Cura knows how to talk to over USB.

Try backing down the temperature a bit. It also looks like there's a lot of moisture in your ABS.

You need to enclose the printer - moving air is causing the problem. Even walking by the printer can ruin an ABS print.

If you're referring to the heat sink fan for the hot end, it won't turn on until the hot end hits about 45-60C or so.

Re: When (& how) to update firmware.

Keep in mind that those aren't firmware updates - they're configuration file updates. You can take a look at the "diff" for the changed files in order to see what they changed and then decide if you want those changes.

You might want to check the extruder stepper wiring to make sure one of the connector pins isn't working out of the shell.

If the HE280 comes unplugged it can crash the RAMBo.

The 3.2 upgrade is a whole new ballgame - the Duet & SD300 are a perfect combination.

Well with electronics like the RAMBo, you can get a false "good" check if you test it in circuit, so "meh" yourself.

The attached is for the Artemis, but it should work fine on the 3.2. Jim Carter built it.
