That being said, there's no reason you can't run a pair of wires through the whip sleeve to provide the power you need. :)

Re: Replacement Carriages

If the carriage is rocking, it's not due to any tolerance issue - you might have a broken carriage. That's the only way they're going to move in a way they shouldn't. The screw bosses can break over time if the carriage was slightly misaligned when it was screwed together - that's happened on two of...

Re: Silencing The noise

The probe in the HE280 isn't compatible with the DuetWifi. You can either get the Duet3D SmartEffector or the SeeMeCNC SE300 if you want good auto-cal with the DuetWifi.

There's no real spot for that on the HE280 - no "accessory" power is available there.

Re: Filament Feeding Problem

Possible causes are printing too fast for the extruder temp, extruder temp too cold, jammed hot end. Google "cold pull pla" for instructions on how to clear typical filament jams.

I would suggest that you wipe the SD card and copy the data you downloaded from the git repository again.

This is something you should have already tried.

Re: Filiment stuck at hotend

It's also possible that the hot end is blocked by foreign debris - I've seen instances where metal particles, tiny ball bearings, etc. have been found in some of the cheaper filament brands.

Re: Replacement Carriages

The dampers are going to be moving just a little bit and that's what is causing the ghosting. If you've got a DuetWifi, you don't need them as the Trinamic stepper drivers on the DuetWifi are incredibly quiet. They even quieted down my v1 and the case on that thing is damn near a bongo drum. :)

Re: Filiment stuck at hotend

Make sure that the bed clips are holding down the bed firmly. I tighten them with a screwdriver a little bit after I've moved the lever over the glass. This will help with the z probe retries. You also need to make sure that you've got the latest macro files from the git repo - the bed MUST be turne...

Re: ERIS - Clicking Sound, No Filament Coming Out, Unload Doesn't Work :(

The clicking sound is called "skipping". It's what the extruder does when it can't feed filament.

Is the hot end set to the correct temperature for the filament you're using?

Re: ERIS - Clicking Sound, No Filament Coming Out, Unload Doesn't Work :(

The extruder is making a clicking noise because the hot end is jammed. The most common cause of jams that I've seen is improper retract settings or too low a temperature. The extruder has likely carved a groove in the filament, thus can't pull it out. Heat up the hot end to around 220C and pull the ...

Another modification I recommend is the 29A power supply kit - it's a big improvement over the ATX supply.

Good luck!

Re: Upgraded max v3 to 3.2 question on command

That problem is caused by the first probe script not turning the bed off. The new version on github shouldn't have that problem. The reason it's a big deal is that the bed throws off a lot of EMI at close range and it makes the little microcontroller on the SE300 board go nuts. If you pay close atte...

Re: Upgraded max v3 to 3.2 question on command

FYI, M270 was pretty short lived and isn't in the production firmware any longer.
I would grab the latest firmware & configuration files from the SeeMeCNC git repo, here: https://github.com/seemecnc/RostockMaxV3.2

Re: Newer Arduino versions that work?

Due to resource constraints, 1.6.0 is really the only choice. Newer versions of the compiler do things differently enough that it causes random crashes in the firmware.
