Re: Delta Orion filament adhesion

ABS typically doesn't stick to the glue stick. Aquanet Unscented hairspray works well from what I've read. You also need a bed temp of at least 80C and /no/ drafts. Don't even walk past the printer quickly. ;)

Re: FSR connection to DUET 2 WiFi no workie - config?

Glad you got it sorted! The motors are quieter due to the stepper driver chips that the Duet uses. They're a LOT better than the ones on the RAMBo and other boards.

Re: bed temperature

Is your v2 equipped with an ATX power supply? If so, get your bed heating and hot end heating at the same time and check the voltage at either the hot end terminals or the bed terminals on the RAMBo board. It shouldn't be any lower than 12v. What reading do you get? I'd also check the bed terminal b...

You also need to rebuild the firmware using v1.6.0 of the Arduino IDE. Higher releases can result in weird behavior due to compiler changes.

Re: DUET WiFi E0 / E1 no workie - config?

The extruder drive will not move until the hot end is above some set temperature. 150C I think. I think this value is adjustable, but I don't know where.

But what? You don't state the problem. :)

Does the light on the FSR board blink on when you tap on the bed?

Put the wires back in the order they were originally. If the motor goes backwards, flip the connector around.

Re: Artemis

Take the M84 out. It turns the motors off. The weight of the effector will cause it to drop on to your print.

Re: Stepper wiring mismatch?

Tearing the motors apart isn't a good idea. :) That being said, identifying the coils is easy. Spin motor with your fingers to see what it's like. Then twist two wires together and spin the motor again. If it's harder to do, that's one coil and the other two wires are the other coil. When you power ...

If you're going to upgrade the motors to .9 steppers, then yes, you'll need to change the steps/mm.

No. The RAMBo LCD panel won't work with the Duet. That being said, you don't need it as you control the Duet via your web browser.

Re: V3 conversion to WASP LDM Clay extruder process

The Duet uses the SE300 PCB to detect nozzle touches. It's similar in design to the Duet Smart Effector.

Like I mentioned before, you can use the SE300 effector/hot end to do your calibration and then swap out to your clay extruder, then tweak the Z height.

Re: V3 conversion to WASP LDM Clay extruder process

If you go with the Duet, you'll end up with a much better printer. That being said, I have no idea how you'd integrate a BL Touch with a Duet controller.

Good point - if you check the fuses in-circuit, you can get a false "good" indication.

Make sure the terminal connector at the HE280 is fully seated. Also, don't use G29 - use the "full calibration" feature in the menu via the front panel.

I would carefully check the power input terminal block and make sure it's tight and not discolored. Were you printing via SD card or USB?

Re: Printer is printing things skewed

Unless you've got a cat, the screws should be somewhere in the vicinity of the printer. :) I use a little bit of blue thread locker when installing the grub screws on the drive pulleys. Make sure that there's a screw hitting the flat on the stepper motor shaft. That in combination with the 2nd screw...

If I remember correctly, the v1 RAMBo controllers didn't have firmware shipped on them, but I'm not sure.

I've tried it in the past with TrendNet(?) WiFi SD cards and it didn't work. I think it was related to power draw.
