Re: #define HOTEND

Go with # 1,,,, and you will have to edit your configuration h file for the thermistor value of the E3d, and also the temperature limits.

Re: Eris auto calibrate issue

Mine did that also. I figured it had to do with an extreme difference in endstop offsets of the three towers. At the moment I forget what I did to get them closer to one another,,,,, But the endstops are the little plastic clips on the belt that activate a microswitch in the base. I was pretty frust...

Re: Homing failure

I would revisit your endstop wiring and connections. When you do a home command, the arms will move up until they hit the switches, and then move down off of them. It sounds like the RamBo is getting an indication that the carriages are already at the switch, and is trying to move them off of them.

Your hotend is probably clogged, probably from to long and fast filament retractions.

Why would you want to limit your torque? Reduced torque would cause increased skipping steps.

Re: Max V2 Upgraded arms

Murphy seems to be always looking over my shoulder, so I try to be one step ahead of him. He'd snap a rubber band in the middle of a 30 hour print, just because. For my Eris Printer, I did find some springs through McMaster-Carr to take the lash out of the arms,,,, but then I had to play with variou...

Re: Non-print moves on Rostock v2 hybrid

It depends on the motors that are in your V2, SeeMeCNC changed motors during the RMV2 run, and the new motors run on lower current. Since you are running the new hotend, I assume you are using the latest firmware, with the lower current settings for the newer motors.

I was surprised to find out how brittle PLA gets when it absorbs moisture. It would snap inside the bowden tube and jam. Couple hours in the oven, and all is back to normal.

Using a digital multimeter, I would measure the resistance of the heater. I'm sure someone will chime in on what the resistance of two of the resistors in parallel should be.

Re: Extruder EEPROM settings not being effective

Stepper motors have great torque,,,,, when a pair of coils are energized. When you start microstepping a motor, the torque rating is going to drop off since to get fractional steps, the other set if coils are also getting energized. To add to the problem, the torque curve for a stepper motor fall ra...

One way would be checking it for continuity with a multimeter while the harness is unplugged.

Re: MatterControl 1.6 extruder controls temp 5 degrees too high

I'd stick with Repetier. Myself, I use Simplify 3d. I tried Mattercontrol when SeeMeCNC dumped Repetier and started pushing mattercontrol. It seemed like every update broke another feature, and the update to fix that broke another. Last I looked, I see that they make it convenient to order products ...
