Re: ERIS - Clicking Sound, No Filament Coming Out, Unload Doesn't Work :(

I've had to trim the end of the ptfe back a little bit so that the connector would have fresh material to bite into, otherwise I would have a hockey puck form causing my jam. I use a heat break from my V2 hotend, and a razor blade to trim the tube square so it seals.

No, there isn't, but installing a new hotend isn't hard,,, That is if you're installing a stock hotend.

My take away from watching that clip is that it will not perform the same as the Duet 2, and tailored more for the OEMs,,, But I nominate you to get back with us on your impressions. The Duet 3 on the other hand,,,,,

Re: New to 3D printing and need help

For print leveling to work, the controller needs to have a sensor to notify it that the nozzle has touched the bed. What you show does not have a sensor. The Arms the previous owner put on appear to be by Trick Laser. He shows 300 mm for the arms he currently sells,,,, You have the old style, but th...

Re: New to 3D printing and need help

Unless the previous owner added a sensor of some sorts, print leveling will not work,,, and you would have to adjust it manually. Post some pictures, it may help identify what you got there.

McMaster-Carr has a decent selection of 3/32 balls, Steel, Stainless, Carbide, and Ceramic. The last two are rally expensive,,,, almost 9 bucks for 5 balls.

Re: Discontinued???

Here's the picture for the springs,,,, see my other thread for the McMaster-Carr part number,,,, and I had to snip the ends to change them from a loop, to a hook. Also attached is the eeprom file,,,,, I think that's where I made the changes for the auto calibration? change .txt, to .epr when you dow...

Re: Discontinued???

Switching from the RamBo to the Duet for the big printers, prolly stubbed someone's toes,,, and perhaps minimized the price break SeeMeCNC got for the Mini RamBo. DC42 will just have to come up with a mini Duet,,,, or just run the Eris on an umbilical cord from a controller brick,,,,, put the powers...

Re: Discontinued???

I'll post up a picture of them tonight. And I'll try and find my firmware file for it as well. Once I took out the slop with the springs, I had to make some changes, I think to the sensor sensitivity?, so that the auto calibration worked.

The printer needs to slow down when in is printing that detail. Or you need more cooling

Re: EZstruder "backslip" problem?

This all started with a "new" spool of filament? Under extruding, and skipping,,,, Have you compared the diameter of the filament with the old spool??

If the only thing changed was the spool, and the machine checks out, I'd be looking at that spool.

Re: Do you earn significant money with 3D printing?

It's like a black hole for my budget, every time I decide to make some money, I do exactly the opposite like buying second Prusa or going to purchase 3D scanner now... Something wrong with me :) At least I managed to return the invested funds for my Artec scanner  How is that scanner working ...

Discontinued???

While showing a coworker the SeeMeCNC webstore, I was surprised to see that the Eris has been discontinued. It had some teething pains at first, but I didn't figure it to be that much of a problem child. After I installed springs on the arms to take up the lash, and re adjusted settings in the firmw...

Mine did that also. I figured it had to do with an extreme difference in endstop offsets of the three towers. At the moment I forget what I did to get them closer to one another,,,,, But the endstops are the little plastic clips on the belt that activate a microswitch in the base. I was pretty frust...

Re: Homing failure

I would revisit your endstop wiring and connections. When you do a home command, the arms will move up until they hit the switches, and then move down off of them. It sounds like the RamBo is getting an indication that the carriages are already at the switch, and is trying to move them off of them.
